Televised endoscopy and the concept of the “assisted” endoscopic operation is of great help in teaching surgical endoscopic techniques. The use of training dummies provides a new method of training manual dexterity and surgical skills in special courses or in surgical skill laboratories. We have developed a training system for transanal endoscopic microsurgery. Operations with our technique were performed on 116 patients. Like other microsurgical techniques, our method requires a special introduction and intensive training. The aim of the study was to evaluate real time in vivo molecular imaging of somatostatin receptors (sstrs) using a handheld miniaturized confocal laser scan microscope (CLM) in conjunction with fluorescein-labeled octreotate (OcF) in healthy mice and murine models of neuroendocrine tumors. For CLM a small rigid probe (diameter 7 mm) with an integrated single line laser (488 nm) was used (optical slice thickness 7 μm; lateral resolution 0.7 μm). CPAP is the first-choice treatment for obstructive sleep-disordered breathing (O-SDB), while the criteria to prescribe AutoBI are undefined. Trials of AutoBI ventilation in patients (pts) treated for O-SDB from January 2015 to October 2016 (64 out of 242 titrations) were reviewed to assess: a) the clinical characteristics of these pts, b) the reason to shift from CPAP to AutoBI, c) the compliance to prescribed treatment.
