Rapid and Complete Surface Modification with Strain-Promoted Oxidation-Controlled Cyclooctyne-1,2-Quinone Cycloaddition (SPOCQ)

Abstract Strain‐promoted oxidation‐controlled cyclooctyne‐1,2‐quinone cycloaddition (SPOCQ) between functionalized bicyclo[6.1.0]non‐4‐yne (BCN) and surface‐bound quinones revealed an unprecedented 100 % conjugation efficiency. In addition, monitoring by direct analysis in real time mass spectrometry (DART‐MS) revealed the underlying kinetics and activation parameters of this immobilization process in dependence on its microenvironment.
Comparison of the degradation mechanisms of diclofenac in the presence of iron octacarboxyphthalocyanine and myeloperoxidase

The degradation process of diclofenac (DCF) by hematoprotein myeloperoxidase (MPO) and iron octacarboxyphthalocyanine (FePcOC) in the presence of hydrogen peroxide was compared. During the oxidation of diclofenac, in the presence of iron octacarboxyphthalocyanine (FePcOC) and hydroxyl radicals (HO•) (from H2O2), an intermediate product (dimer with an m/z value of 587) with the characteristic yellow colouration and an intense band at λmax = 451 nm is formed. Iron octacarboxyphthalocyanine oxidises in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, following the first-order reaction kinetics for FePcOC and H2O2. OCTA Latvijā tika ieviesta 1997. gadā. 18 gadu darbības laikā OCTA apdrošināšanas nozare tikai 4 gadus ir strādājusi ar peļņu, turklāt 2015. gada pirmos 9. mēnešus OCTA noslēdza ar 7,3 miljonu eiro zaudējumu, kas ir 2,3 reizes lielāks nekā 2014. gada 9. mēnešos. Darba autors sava temata izvēli pamato ar to, ka ir nepieciešams izpētīt OCTA apdrošināšanas tirgu Latvijā un saprast, kāpēc OCTA tirgus Latvijā strādā ar zaudējumiem. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt OCTA nozares darbību un pamatojoties uz datu analīzi noskaidrot kāpēc OCTA nozare 14. gadus ir strādājusi ar zaudējumiem, piedāvāt problēmu risinājumus un izteikt priekšlikumus problēmu novēršanai. Langmuir monolayers and Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of the decatungstoeuropate [Eu(W(5)O(18))(2)](9-) (EuW(10)) and the amphiphilic Ir complex 1 have been successfully fabricated by using the adsorption properties of the EuW(10) polyanion dissolved in the aqueous subphase onto a positively charged 1 monolayer at the air-water interface. The compression isotherms and Brewster angle microscopy (BAM) of monolayers of 1 on pure water (1 monolayer) and on a subphase containing 10(-6) M EuW(10) and 10(-3) M NaCl (1/EuW(10) monolayer) have been studied. Magnetic properties of AgLnSe2 compounds (Ln=Ho, Er, Tm and Yb)

Abstract The heavy lanthanide selenides AgLnSe2 (Ln=Ho–Yb) crystallize in the orthorhombic AgErSe2 type structure (P212121). The lanthanide ions are placed in the centres of slightly distorted octahedra, whereas each of the silver ions is surrounded by four selenide ions forming a strongly distorted tetrahedron. The high field magnetization (up to 14 T) and the magnetic susceptibility were measured on the polycrystalline samples. The crystal field parameters were estimated from the field dependences of the magnetizations, assuming a rhombic distortion of LnSe6 octahedra.
