Abstract Global virtual teams (GVTs), electronically connected workgroups of geographically dispersed team members in multinational settings, may suffer from less social integration. However, they may also benefit from an increased ability to process information due to a richer portfolio of ideas and problem-solving approaches that the team’s diversity provides. We propose that the cultural intelligence (CQ) of team members contributes positively to social integration in GVTs and improves performance. Cieto poliuretānu putu iegūšana kriogēnai siltumizolācijai no ilgtspējīgiem polioliem

Darbā tika pētīta atjaunojamo resursu piemērotība poliuretānu materiālu sintēzē, daļēji aizstājot no naftas pārstrādes produktiem iegūtos poliolus ar polioliem, kas iegūti no tallu eļļas un pārstrādāta polietilēntereftalāta (PET). Polikondensācijas reakcijā starp izocianātiem un polioliem tika iegūti cieto poliuretānu putu materiāli, kuriem tālāk tika noteiktas fizikāli-mehāniskās īpašības, piemēram, šķietamais blīvums, siltumvadītspēja, slēgto poru saturs materiālā, adhēzija pret alumīnija virsmu un stiprība spiedē gan istabas temperatūrā, gan šķidrajā slāpeklī. Augsti funkcionālu poliolu sintēze no epoksidētas rapšu eļļas cieto poliuretānu putu izstrādāšanai

Darbā veikts literatūras apskats par dažādu veidu polioliem, to iegūšanas reakcijām un to raksturlielumu analīzes metodēm. Tika apskatīti poliētera, poliestera un no dabasvielām iegūtie polioli. Izpētīta rapšu eļļas epoksidēšanās reakcijas kinētika 55, 60, 65 oC. No rapšu eļļas tika iegūts epoksidācijas produkts, kuru modificēja ar dietanolamīnu, trietanolamīnu un dietilēnglikolu. Iegūtajiem polioliem tika noteikti to raksturlielumi un tika veikta to salīdzināšana. Iegūtie polioli papildus tika analizēti ar Furjē transformācijas infrasarkanās spektraskopijas (FTIR) metodi un gēla caurlaidības hromatogrāfiju (GPC). Neurometabolic diseases are largely hereditary ones. They encompass lysosomal, peroxisomal, mitochondrial, and polyglucosan diseases as well as amino and organic acidemias/acidurias. Neuropathologically, the entire brain may be affected, i.e. pan-encephalopathy, the grey matter, preferentially being called polioencephalopathy or, when lesions might predominate in white matter, leukoencephalopathies/leukodystrophies. An important issue are extracerebral biopsies that facilitate or allow in vivo diagnosis and may be achieved by electron microscopy. Modern neuropathological techniques may retroactively be applied to archival tissues and those of modern mouse models.

Chronic idiopathic hyperphosphatasia(CIH) or juvenile Paget disease is believed to be a distinct disease characterized by an increase in the serum alkaline phosphatase, cortical thickening and bowing of the long bones, especially the femora. It is a rare autosomal recessive bone disorder, with excessive bone resorption and bone formation. Skeletal malformations in the legs may cause problems in walking and may eventually result in short stature. The radiographic appearances include widening of the diaphyses, vertebral osteoporosis, acetabular protrusion, and thickening of the skull vault. Abstract Scoliosis is a three-dimensional (3D) structural deformity of the spine with a radiological lateral Cobb angle of ≥ 10°. Several classification systems exist, dividing different types regarding the age of onset or the type of etiology. The minority of cases are secondary to congenital, syndromic of neuromosucular diseases. Most of the cases are classified “idiopathic” due to unknown etiology.
