Apunts de teoria de l'assignatura Matemàtiques II dins dels estudis de grau en Economia, en administració i direcció d'empreses i en finances i comptabilitat. Notes of Theory of the subject "Matemàtiques II", in the studies of degree in Economics, degree in business administration and degree in finance and accounting. Aquest document substitueix al del mateix nom del curs 2011/2012 perquè conté algunes correccions d'errades. Aquest material ha rebut un dels incentius de la convocatòria 2011 per a la qualitat en l’elaboració de materials docents del Servei de Política Lingüística de la Universitat de València, servei que també ha revisat lingüísticament el text.

La justificació d’una educació per a la cooperació o la crítica de la seua possibilitat han d’estar ubicades en el marc de les teories generals sobre educació i societat, i naturalment d’aquelles que són més recents i importants. Per això, aquest text es divideix en cinc epígrafs. En els tres primers es comenten les teories sobre educació i societat. Separation of the azeotropic mixture 2-propanol + water employing different imidazolium ionic liquids as solvents

Abstract The liquid-liquid equilibria of the ternary systems water (1) + 2-propanol (2) + [emim][Tf2N] (3) and water (1) + 2-propanol (2) + [hmim][Tf2N] (3) at 283.2, 303.2 and 323.2 K and atmospheric pressure were investigated, in order to achieve a better knowledge of the ternary mixture behaviour. The capability of [emim][Tf2N] and [hmim][Tf2N] as solvents in the separation of the azeotropic mixture water + 2-propanol was studied through the distribution coefficient and selectivity, and compared with the results obtained with other ionic liquids in the same azeotropic mixture studied before by our research group. Phase equilibria for the ternary systems ethanol, water+ethylene glycol or+glycerol at 101.3kPa

Abstract Two solvents, ethylene glycol and glycerol, are proposed as possible entrainers for the extractive distillation of the binary azeotropic mixture formed by ethanol and water. In this way, consistent isobaric vapour–liquid equilibrium data at 101.3 kPa were measured for the ternary systems ethanol + water + ethylene glycol and ethanol + water + glycerol. The data were correlated by local compositions models Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC. Parameters of these models were later employed to evaluate ability of the candidates to break the original azeotrope. Abstract After the good behavior of different 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ionic liquids (ILs) used as solvents in the separation of 1-propanol and 2-propanol from water, liquid-liquid equilibria data was measured from a system formed by a ternary mixture of water, 1-propanol or 2-propanol and 1-decyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([dmim][Tf2N]) at 283.2, 303.2 and 323.2 K and atmospheric pressure. Isobaric vapor–liquid equilibrium for binary and ternary mixtures of 2-methyl-2-propanol+methyl 1,1-dimethylpropyl ether+2,2,4-trimethylpentane

Abstract New consistent vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data for the binary system methyl 1,1-dimethylpropyl ether (TAME)+2,2,4-trimethylpentane (isooctane) and the ternary system 2-methyl-2-propanol (TBA)+methyl 1,1-dimethylpropyl ether (TAME)+2,2,4-trimethylpentane (isooctane) are reported at 101.3 kPa. In the binary system, the results indicate a positive deviation from ideality and no azeotrope is present. The ternary system presents a saddle point azeotrope that can be predicted from binary data. The activity coefficients and boiling points of the solutions were correlated with their composition by Wilson, UNIQUAC and NRTL equations.

In this work authors present the experimental liquid–liquid equilibria (LLE) data of water + ethanol + 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide ([bmim][Tf2N]) system at different temperatures. The LLE of the system was obtained in the temperature range from 283.2 to 323.2 K. The nonrandom two liquid (NRTL) and universal quasichemical (UNIQUAC) models were used to correlate ternary systems. The equilibrium compositions were successfully correlated by the interaction parameters from both models, however UNIQUAC gave a more accurate correlation. Isobaric vapor–liquid equilibria for binary and ternary mixtures with cyclohexane, cyclohexene, and morpholine at 100kPa

Abstract Vapor–liquid equilibria (VLE) data at 100 kPa have been determinated for the ternary system cyclohexane + cyclohexene + morpholine and two constituent binary systems cyclohexane + morpholine and cyclohexene + morpholine. The thermodynamic consistency of experimental data has been verified. Both binary systems deviate moderately from ideality without the presence of an azeotrope. The VLE data have been well correlated using local composition models (Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC) and have been also predicted with the original UNIFAC.
