Multi-channel chromatic transformations for nonlinear color pattern recognition

We present a new approach for color pattern recognition based on multi-channel nonlinear correlations. High discrimination capability is obtained in comparison with common linear multi-channel detection methods. We apply the nonlinear morphological correlation to different color channel decompositions as RGB and ATD channels. Moreover, in order to improve the discrimination we have introduced a new color transformation. When a high selectivity is required, the combination of the nonlinear correlation and the new color decomposition yields to detect the object using just a single channel. Simulation results are provided.
Color and Flow Based Superpixels for 3D Geometry Respecting Meshing

We present an adaptive weight based superpixel segmentation method for the goal of creating mesh representation that respects the 3D scene structure. We propose a new fusion framework which employs both dense optical flow and color images to compute the probability of boundaries. The main contribution of this work is that we introduce a new color and optical flow pixel-wise weighting model that takes into account the non-linear error distribution of the depth estimation from optical flow. Experiments show that our method is better than the other state-of-art methods in terms of smaller error in the final produced mesh.

Abstract Recently, the concept of polarons has again been at the focus of solid-state research, as it can constitute the basis for understanding the high-temperature superconductivity or the colossal magnetoresistance of materials. More than a decade ago there were some indications that polarons play an important role in explaining low temperature maxima in imaginary part of the dielectric constant e ″ ( T ) in ABO3 perovskites. A CFA produces a mosaic image, and normally a subsequent CFA demosaick-ing algorithm interpolates the mosaic image and estimates the full-resolution colour image. Among various types of optical aberrations from which a mosaic image may suffer, chromatic aberration (CA) influences the spatial and spectral correlation through the artefacts such as blur and mis-registration, which demosaicking also relies on. Optical Routing of Uniform Instances in Cayley Graphs

Abstract Abstract We consider the problem of routing uniform communication instances in Cayley graphs. Such instances consist of all pairs of nodes whose distance is included in a specified set U. We give bounds on the load induced by these instances on the links and for the wavelength assignment problem as well. For some classes of Cayley graphs that have special symmetry property (rotational graphs), we are able to construct routings for uniform instances such that the load is the same for each link of the graph.
Rigorous Multimode Equivalent Network Representation of Multilayer Planar Circuits

The objective of this paper is to extend the use of the Multimode Equivalent Network formulation, originally developed to analyze waveguide junctions, to the analysis of planar circuits that include arbitrary rectangular printed, zero thickness metallizations together with internal and external ports in the transverse plane. The theoretical derivations lead to an accurate and computationally efficient tool for the analysis of boxed, multilayer microwave printed circuits. Shift and scale-invariant correlator using a radially stretched phase-only filter

A radial stretching of the phase only filter depending on the energy angular distribution of the target spectrum is used to perform shift and scale invariant pattern recognition. The complex conjugate of a basic size target Fourier transform and the cumulative energy angular distribution are calculated. Then the radially stretched filter providing the same energy contribution to the correlation peak independent on the target size is prepared and used in a conventional correlator, with spherical-wave illumination. The maximum scale ratio of recognizable objects equals 1:1.5. Computer simulations and experimental results, showing the performance of the filter are presented.
Noise correlations of the ultracold Fermi gas in an optical lattice

In this paper we study the density noise correlations of the two component Fermi gas in optical lattices. Three different type of phases, the BCS-state (Bardeen, Cooper, and Schieffer), the FFLO-state (Fulde, Ferrel, Larkin, and Ovchinnikov), and BP (breach pair) state, are considered. We show how these states differ in their noise correlations. The noise correlations are calculated not only at zero temperature, but also at non-zero temperatures paying particular attention to how much the finite temperature effects might complicate the detection of different phases.
