Augstas izšķirtspējas masspektrometrijas pielietojums pesticīdu nemērķētam skrīningam pārtikas produktos

2019

Augstas izšķirtspējas masspektrometrijas pielietojums pesticīdu nemērķētam skrīningam pārtikas produktos, Vasiļjeva V., zinātniskais vadītājs Mg. chem. Ruško J., Bakalaura darbs, 40 lappuses, 8 attēli, 8 tabulas, 44 literatūras avoti, 3 pielikumi. Latviešu valodā. Pesticīdi plaši mūsdienās tiek izmantoti lauksaimniecībā, jo augu kaitēkļi, tādi kā nezāles, slimības u.c. ir spējīgi samazināt lielu procentuālo daļu no visām lauksaimniecības kultūru ražām pasaulē. Pesticīdu toksiskuma dēļ bioķīmiskie procesi dzīvās šūnās mainās, tie nelabvēlīgi ietekmē cilvēka veselību. Lai pasargātu cilvēkus no nelabvēlīgām sekām, pasaulē tiek plaši izstrādātas daudzas noteikšanas metodes dažāda veida augos un…

Analysis of mycotoxins in barley using ultra high liquid chromatography high resolution mass spectrometry: comparison of efficiency and efficacy of d…

2012

The effectiveness of four extraction methods (modified QuEChERS, matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD), solid-liquid extraction (SLE) and solid-phase extraction (SPE) clean-up) were evaluated for simultaneous determination of 32 mycotoxins produced by the genus Fusarium, Claviceps, Aspergillus, Penicillium and Alternaria in barley by ultra high pressure liquid chromatography coupled to ultra-high resolution mass spectrometry (UHPLC-Orbitrap(®) MS). The efficiency and efficacy of extraction methods were evaluated and compared in number of extracted mycotoxins and obtained recoveries. From the one point of view, QuEChERS procedure was fast and easy, as well as it was able to successfully extra…

Field-induced ferromagnetism due to magneto-striction in 1-D helical chains

2016

Two homochiral copper(II) helices, [Cu(μ1,3-N3)(L1)]n (1) and [Cu(μ1,3-NCO)(L2)]n (2), with end-to-end pseudohalide bridges, were synthesized using two N2O donor achiral Schiff bases via spontaneous chiral resolution. Field-induced ferromagnetic ordering due to magneto-striction in homochiral 1-D helix [Cu(μ1,3-N3)(L1)]n (1) is reported for the first time. At temperatures below 5.5 K, under a magnetic field of 1 T, orthogonality between the magnetic orbitals of copper centres increases significantly due to the contraction of lattice parameters, giving rise to long-range ferromagnetic ordering in the helical chain. The magneto-dielectric results are also indicative of the observed magneto-st…

The Transoid, Ortho, and Gauche Conformers of Decamethyl-n-tetrasilane, n-Si4Me10:  Electronic Transitions in the Multistate Complete Active Space Se…

2003

Multistate complete active space second-order perturbation theory (MS-CASPT2) is used to improve earlier descriptions of the low-energy valence excited states of the transoid, ortho, and gauche conformers of decamethyl-n-tetrasilane, n-Si4Me10, using a generally contracted basis set of atomic natural orbitals (ANOs) at a ground-state geometry optimized in the second-order Moller−Plesset perturbation theory (MP2) approximation with Dunning's correlation consistent triple-ζ basis set (cc-pVTZ) on the silicon atoms and the 6-31G* and 6-31G basis sets on the carbon and hydrogen atoms, respectively. Relative energies, relative free energies, and mole fractions of the transoid, ortho, and gauche …

Density functional study of two-dimensionalHe4clusters

2005

Binding energies and density profiles of two-dimensional systems of liquid He-4 with different geometries are studied by means of a zero-range density functional adjusted to reproduce the line tension obtained in a previous diffusion Monte Carlo calculation (lambda_{DMC}=0.121 K/A). It is shown that this density functional provides accurate results for the binding energy of large clusters with a reasonable computational effort.

Characterization of the shape-staggering effect in mercury nuclei

2018

In rare cases, the removal of a single proton (Z) or neutron (N) from an atomic nucleus leads to a dramatic shape change. These instances are crucial for understanding the components of the nuclear interactions that drive deformation. The mercury isotopes (Z = 80) are a striking example1,2: their close neighbours, the lead isotopes (Z = 82), are spherical and steadily shrink with decreasing N. The even-mass (A = N + Z) mercury isotopes follow this trend. The odd-mass mercury isotopes 181,183,185Hg, however, exhibit noticeably larger charge radii. Due to the experimental difficulties of probing extremely neutron-deficient systems, and the computational complexity of modelling such heavy nucl…

Orbital dimerization inNaTiSi2O6:An orbital analogue of the spin-Peierls phase transition

2004

We measure the Raman scattering spectra of NaTiSi2O6, analyze the vibrational properties, and study the origin of the phase transition in this compound. In this quasi-one-dimensional S = 1/2 system we observe anomalous high-temperature phonon broadenings, and large changes of the phonon energies and line-widths across the phase transition temperature of 210 K. These results, combined with theoretical considerations, indicate that the phonon anomalies originate from an orbital order-disorder type of phase transition. We find that the high temperature dynamical Jahn-Teller phase of NaTiSi2O6 exhibits a spontaneous breaking of translational symmetry into a dimerized, Jahn-Teller distorted, orb…

A VLBI study of the wind-wind collision region in the massive multiple HD 167971

2019

Context. Colliding winds in massive binaries are able to accelerate particles up to relativistic speeds as the result of the interaction between the winds of the different stellar components. HD 167971 exhibits this phenomenon which makes it a strong radio source. Aims. We aim at characterizing the morphology of the radio emission and its dependence on the orbital motion, traced independently by near-infrared (NIR) interferometry of both the spectroscopic binary and the tertiary component comprising HD 167971. Methods. We analyze 2006 and 2016 very long baseline interferometric data at C and X bands. We complement our analysis with a geometrical model of the wind-wind collision region and a…

Satellite-derived land surface temperature: Current status and perspectives

2013

Abstract Land surface temperature (LST) is one of the key parameters in the physics of land surface processes from local through global scales. The importance of LST is being increasingly recognized and there is a strong interest in developing methodologies to measure LST from space. However, retrieving LST is still a challenging task since the LST retrieval problem is ill-posed. This paper reviews the current status of selected remote sensing algorithms for estimating LST from thermal infrared (TIR) data. A brief theoretical background of the subject is presented along with a survey of the algorithms employed for obtaining LST from space-based TIR measurements. The discussion focuses on TI…

Electronic coupling responsible for energy transfer in columnar liquid crystals

1999

Electronic coupling is the driving force for energy transfer in molecular materials and consists of several components. We determine the strength of dipolarrmultipolar coupling and coupling due to orbital overlap for excitation transport in triphenylene columnar liquid crystals. We use time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy and computer simulations. The fit of the experimental and simulated fluorescence decays reveals that the transfer process is dominated by short range interactions .multipolar and orbital overlap but the contribution of long range dipolar interactions cannot be neglected. q 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
