Edició i estudi" fixa el text d'aquest incunable i el compara a doble columna amb el text del qual és deutor, la Vita Christi de Ludolf de Saxònia. La datació de l'obra, entre febrer i març de 1495, i l'atribució a un taller, el de Hagenbach-Hutz a la ciutat de València, es realitza per mitjà de l'anàlisi de dades codicològiques i d'història de la impremta en aquesta ciutat. Aquesta anàlisi permet també situar adequadament el projecte d'edició dels quatre volums que conformen el Cartoixà de Corella a finals del segle XV. Dimethylsulfoxide as carrier in enzyme cytochemistry.

Addition of dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) to the incubation medium of succinate dehydrogenase in a concentration of 10% enhances the staining reaction in the hyphae of the fungus Cercosporella herpotrichoides after an incubation period of 15 min. Controls without DMSO remain unstained. DMSO causes a rapid penetration of the components of the medium through the mucilage that covers the hyphae.

Chlorophyll-protein complexes from thylakoids of the normal type and two mutants of Chlorella fusca were separated using sodium dodecyl sulfate acrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE). The properties of the chlorophyll-protein complexes of the three strains of Chlorella were compared. Standard curves were set up for the characterization of the chlorophyll-proteins. In every electrophoretic separation of chlorophyll-protein complexes, a certain amount of pigment is separated from the protein. We tried to keep that amount as low as possible by mild solubilization and by working in low temperature. Comparative analysis of the composition of two chlorophyll-b-containing light-harvesting complexes.

The major light-harvesting complexes from Mantoniella squamata (Prasinophyceae) and from Chlorella fusca (Chlorophyceae) were analyzed with respect to polypeptide composition and pigmentation. It was found that the polypeptides of Mantoniella are smaller than those of Chlorella and bind twice the amount of pigment. We assume that the amount of pigment per polypeptide is of ecological as well as of taxonomical importance.

The toxicity of commercial formulation of Roundup® 360 SL, widely used, nonselective herbicide and its main constituents, glyphosate (PMG), equimolar (1:1) isopropylamine salt of glyphosate (GIPA) and isopropylamine (IPA) was examined towards eight aquatic microphotoautotrophs; seven cyanobacterial strains representing either saline or freshwater communities, and common eukaryotic algae Chlorella vulgaris Beijerinck. The marine green coccoidal alga Nanochlorum eukaryotum (N.e.) is of small size with an average diameter of 1.5 microns. It is characterized by primitive-appearing biochemical and morphological properties, which are considerably different from those of other green algae. Thus, it has been proposed that N.e. may be an early developed algal form. To prove this hypothesis, DNA of N.e. was isolated by a phenol extraction procedure, and the chloroplast DNA separated by preparative CsCl density-gradient centrifugation. Summary Cells of Chlorella fusca, were grown in liquid medium supplemented ,vith O.2% glucose and varied concentrations of vanadium both at 5 different light intensities and in the dark. \Vith increasing concentrations of vanadium the content of chlorophyll, P-700 and cytochrome f increased as well, each, however, in a different way. At the saturating concentration of 20 µg vanadium per litre the pigment content per dry weight was double as high as that of the vanadium-free control; the ratio of chlorophyll a/chlorophyll b increased from 2.1 to 2.9.
