Prevention of occupational injuries moral hazard and complex agency relationship

This paper exploits the results of agency theory with the aim of contributing a new viewpoint and a form for analysis of the current functioning of the occupational injury and disease section of the Social Security system in its mission of providing incentives for prevention. After outlining the organization and specific features of insurance against occupational risks, an initial level of analysis highlights the presence of moral hazard in relations between insurer and company and between company and employee. Do social enterprises walk the talk? Assessing microfinance performances with mission statements

We study mission drift in social enterprises by examining whether these organizations stick to the actual mission enshrined in their mission statements. We use data from microfinance organizations (MFOs), a homogeneous group of social enterprises which have been scrutinized—and sometimes criticized—for mission drift. We focus on three publicly recognized and non-mutually-exclusive microfinance social missions identified by previous studies: poverty alleviation, women's empowerment, and rural financial inclusion. Jānis Gefkins (1911-1938), a graduate of Riga State Gymnasium No.1, student of classical philology at the Faculty of Philology and Philosophy of the University of Latvia and member of the Latvian student fraternity Fraternitas Lettica, passed away at the age of 27.

The Latvian Student fraternity Fraternitas Lettica, accompanied by its guard of honour, arrives at the Riga Forest Cemetery to participate in the unveiling of the tombstone of its member, Alfrēds Būmanis, Latvian lawyer and professor of law at the Faculty of Economics and Law of the University of Latvia. The unveiling of the tombstone coincides with the collapse of the USSR and the restoration of Latvia's independence.

Ils sont présentés en distinguant les points de vue des sociétés de capital- risque et des entreprises formant l’alliance, et, agencés en fonction des deux cadres théoriques qu’ils emploient : les théories contractuelles et cognitives.
