Type I optical parametric oscillators above threshold are perfect squeezers for empty gauss-hermite modes at any pumping level

A type I optical parametric oscillator pumped by a Gaussian beam above threshold and tuned to its first transverse mode family is shown to yield a perfectly squeezed, empty Gauss-Hermite mode at any pumping level.
Motion of the wave-function zeros in spin-boson systems.

In the analytic Bargmann representation associated with the harmonic oscillator and spin coherent states, the wave functions considered as consisting of entire complex functions can be factorized in terms of their zeros in a unique way. The Schr\"odinger equation of motion for the wave function is turned to a system of equations for the zeros of the wave function. The motion of these zeros as a nonlinear flow of points is studied and interpreted for linear and nonlinear bosonic and spin Hamiltonians. Attention is given to the study of the zeros of the Jaynes-Cummings model and to its finite analog. Numerical solutions are derived and dicussed.
Quantum noise properties of cavity solitons

General method for studying quantum fluctuations of dissipative structures formed in nonlinear optical cavities is presented. Application to cavity soliton supported by degenerate optical parametric oscillator is presented. Squeezing and intensity fluctuations spectra are discussed.
Geometric-phase backaction in a mesoscopic qubit-oscillator system

We illustrate a reverse Von Neumann measurement scheme in which a geometric phase induced on a quantum harmonic oscillator is measured using a microscopic qubit as a probe. We show how such a phase, generated by a cyclic evolution in the phase space of the harmonic oscillator, can be kicked back on the qubit, which plays the role of a quantum interferometer. We also extend our study to finite-temperature dissipative Markovian dynamics and discuss potential implementations in micro- and nanomechanical devices coupled to an effective two-level system. © 2012 American Physical Society.

Molecular modeling and experimental studies on structure and NMR parameters of 9-benzyl-3,6-diiodo-9H-carbazole

A combined experimental and theoretical study has been performed on 9-benzyl-3,6-diiodo-9H-carbazole. Experimental X-ray (100.0 K) and room-temperature 13C NMR studies were supported by advanced density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The non relativistic structure optimization was performed and the 13C nuclear magnetic shieldings were predicted at the relativistic level of theory using the Zeroth Order Regular Approximation (ZORA). A Design Methodology for Low-Power MCML Ring Oscillators

In this paper, a low-power design method for MCML based ring oscillators is presented. The proposed method takes into account the parasitic capacitances of the MOS transistors. To validate it, some ring oscillators with different oscillation frequencies were designed in a 0.18 mum CMOS technology. SPICE simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the design method.
