Floor and ceiling effects of the World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0 among patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain

The aim of this study was to investigate the floor and ceiling effects of 12-item World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0 (WHODAS). This was a cross-sectional survey study at a university’s physical and rehabilitation medicine outpatient clinic of 1988 patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain. Floor and ceiling effects were calculated as relative frequencies of the lowest or the highest possible scores for each item. Correlation between chronic prostatitis syndrome and pelvic venous disease: a survey of 2,554 urologic outpatients.

Objectives: In this study we evaluated the association between chronic prostatitis syndrome (CPS), varicocele and hemorrhoids as manifestations of a pelvic venous disease. Methods: Our retrospective study was based upon 2554 patients treated in two general urology clinics over the past 10 years. We have assessed the incidence of CPS among urological patients. Results: We found 483 patients with CPS, representing 18.9% of the total number of visits at the outpatient clinic. Objective To compare rates of 30-day all-cause rehospitalization in France and the US among patients aged 65 years and older and explain any difference between the countries. Methods: Four groups of asthmatic children 7 to 14 years old were recruited by pediatricians during each season of the year. Their HRQL was assessed by means of the Paediatric Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (PAQLQ). Other factors surveyed were asthma severity, atopy, medical treatment, immunotherapy, obesity, parental smoking, and anti-allergic measures.
