Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG), a live, attenuated strain of Mycobacterium bovis, is the essential constituent of the vaccine against tuberculosis and the gold-standard adjuvant treatment for urothelial cancer of the bladder. Being a live, attenuated strain with a potential pathogenic action, bacilli can cause several complications, both locally near the inoculation site and remotely through blood dissemination. Open graft repair of thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms (TAAA) is an incredibly complex and challenging procedure with acceptable results achieved only by a few centers worldwide. Contemporary outcome analysis of TAAA repair performed in the United States showed greater operative mortality and morbidity rates than commonly reported. Moreover, a recent European long-term follow-up study showed that survival remains suboptimal, especially in the early years after TAAA repair. Introduction: Sound-induced flash illusions(SIFI) permit to evaluate crossmodal audio-visual perception. When one flash is accompanied by two beeps, it is perceived as two flashes(’fission’illusion); a ‘fusion’ illusion occurs when a single beep causes the fusion of a double flash stimulus. SIFI strictly depends on cortical excitability: healthy controls perceive less illusions by increasing visual cortex excitability through anodal tDCS [1].
