In this paper a spatially distributed model of the hillslope sediment delivery processes, named the sediment delivery distributed (SEDD) model, is initially reviewed; the model takes into account the sediment delivery processes due to both the hillslope sediment transport and the effects of slope curvature. Then the rainfall and sediment yield events measured at the experimental SPA2 basin, in Sicily, are used both to calibrate the SEDD model and to verify the predictive capability of the distributed sediment delivery approach at event scale. The focus is theoretical and empirical: The conceptual conclusions and statistical results are compared to those of human capital and utilitarian approaches, and the implications for higher education research in Canada are explored.
The Role of Entrepreneurial and Networking Orientations in Developing Marketing Capabilities of Born Global Firms

The large multinational enterprises rely on their size and significant resources to develop marketing capabilities. On the other hand, little is known about how resource-constrained born global firms develop necessary marketing capabilities to operate in multiple international markets. This paper attempts to fill this gap conceptually by discussing relationships between entrepreneurial orientation, networking orientation, marketing capabilities, and performance in the context of born global firms. To fulfill this objective, research propositions are presented based on an extensive literature review. Preliminary conclusions and suggestions for further research are also provided.
Dynamic capabilities in the internationalization process of companies distributing products of the agribusiness sector

The agri-food sector faces important internal and external barriers to internationalization that could be overcome by the development of dynamic capabilities. Generic dynamic capabilities generate sector and environment specific dynamic capabilities that directly contribute to overcome the barriers of internationalization. Our contribution is to determine which specific dynamic capabilities of the distribution companies collaborate to overcome these barriers and as a consequence to improve international results. Purpose This study aims to explore and describe the main enabling factors affecting the implementation of blockchain technology (BCT) in a strategic sector such as the wine industry, as well as the motivation behind this choice.
