We tested the novel NF-kappaB inhibitor dehydroxymethylepoxyquinomicin (DHMEQ) in the hepatic cancer (HCC) HepG2, HA22T/VGH and HuH-6 cells. The sensitivity to the cell growth inhibitory and apoptotic effects of the agent increased along with the levels of constitutively activated NF-kappaB, which were low in HepG2 and higher in HA22T/VGH and HuH-6. In HA22T/VGH, DHMEQ exhibited synergy with cisplatin. In the same cells, DHMEQ exerted dose-dependent decreases in the nuclear levels of activated NF-kappaB and attenuated NF-kappaB activation by cisplatin. Cette étude vise trois objectifs : réaliser un état des lieux des processus de réformes curriculaires en éducation de base en Afrique pour identifier les problèmes rencontrés, les résultats positifs et les "bonnes pratiques", aider les responsables des systèmes éducatifs à prendre des mesures pertinentes et accompagner les réformes et enfin aider les bailleurs de fonds à mieux comprendre les effets de leur aide et à mieux cibler les projets de réforme en termes de coût et d'efficacité à tous les niveaux des systèmes éducatifs impliqués.

Friedreich's ataxia (FRDA), the most common inherited ataxia, is a neurodegenerative disease caused by a reduction in the levels of the mitochondrial protein frataxin, the function of which remains a controversial matter. Several therapeutic approaches are being developed to increase frataxin expression and reduce the intramitochondrial iron aggregates and oxidative damage found in this disease. CEO-TMT interaction: do tenure and age affect ambidexterity dynamism?

The aim of this study is to clarify the influence of the CEO, the top management team and their interactions on the dynamism of organisational ambidexterity. We argue that ambidexterity is a dynamic capability that enables firms to become aligned with their environment. We examine this phenomenon in the context of the current economic crisis, with particular reference to SMEs. We propose tenure and age as characteristics of business elites that help to explain ambidexterity dynamism. The paper focuses on the reasons for the link between children's rights and family rights, in order to highlight that parenting educational competences are challenging risk factor in contexts of poverty and always decisive factor for the actual promotion of the rights of children and adolescents. More precisely, firstly the passages of of the Convention in which the necessity of the family is argued as primary context of children's rights.
