More Time Children Spend in Nature During Preschool Is Associated with a Greater Sense of Responsibility for Nature : A Study in Finland
2021
Nature connectedness is an important factor underlying proenvironmental behavior. Only little is known on the aspects that influence nature connectedness in younger children. The study participants included 150 children at mean age of 6.5 years. Eighty-five of them attended nature-preschool that offers on average 13.1 h/week, and 65 of them typical preschool that offers on average 1.7 h/week, of their education in nature. Nature connectedness was measured with the connection to nature index. The regular visits to nature during preschool were associated with a higher sense of responsibility for nature (p = 0.013). The regular visits to nature during preschool, sex, parent's nature connectedn…
Corresponsabilità educativa nei servizi 0-6. La percezione di genitori e insegnanti.
2021
The 0-6 years integrated education service has opened new perspectives on parental participation and the forms in which it can be developed and put into practice. This paper intends to offer a theoretical framework relating to the role of families and the participation in the context of education services, based on a dialogue between family and education services. Through a survey conducted in the city of Palermo, some indications are proposed with respect to ways of improving the school-family co-education synergy, suggesting some good practices for a constructive and mutually responsible alliance.
The relationship between maternal-fetus attachment and perceived parental bonds in pregnant women: Considering a possible mediating role of psycholog…
2023
Maternal-Fetal Attachment (MFA) delineates the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects that mothers develop toward the unborn baby during pregnancy. The literature indicates that optimal attachment in pregnancy represents a protective factor for the mother-child attachment bond after birth and child development outcomes. To date, there are few studies that have investigated associated factors of MFA. This study sets out to explore the association between perceived parental bonds and maternal-fetal bonding in pregnant women, accounting for factors such as psychological distress, socio-demographic and obstetric characteristics.MethodsIn this cross-sectional study, 1,177 pregnant women an…
IL PADRE E LA COSTRUZIONE DI UNA NUOVA IDENTITÀ GENITORIALE NELL’ITALIA DEGLI ANNI CINQUANTA
2016

The expatriate’s family as a stakeholder of the firm : a responsibility viewpoint
2016
In this paper we argue for the recognition of the expatriate’s family as a stakeholder of the firm during the expatriation. We demonstrate why the expatriate’s family can be regarded as a stakeholder of the parent company and what kind of a stakeholder the family is. Additionally, we argue that the parent company needs to develop and apply a holistic well-being orientation to show stakeholder responsibility in the international assignment (IA) arena. We apply the theory of stakeholder salience to the IA relationship because it provides a theoretical framework for integrating the family into the expatriation process. Yet this theory does not necessarily provide a framework for assessing the …
