Co-parental Couples and New Families: A Study of the Primary Triad

Abstract Starting from current areas of research in the field of developmental theories, the aim of this work is to analyse parent-child interactions within a primary triad and to consider co-parenting couple and their children as an interactive matrix. In particular, parent-child relationship could be observed trough new developmental units of observation and coding systems in the multiple scenarios of new families. The deepening of this study may promote an effective connection between research and educational support as well as clinical work with families and parental couples.

Pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu vecāku pašefektivitātes, viņu uztvertā sociālā atbalsta un depresija pazīmju saistība ar bērnu audzināšanas pieejām

Šī maģistra darba mērķis ir atbildēt uz jautājumu, kāda saistība pastāv starp vecāku pašefektivitātes izjūtu, vecāk uztverto sociālo atbalstu un izjustajām depresijas pazīmēm ar bērnu audzināšanas pieejām? Pētījumā piedalījās 96 vecāki, no tiem 94 mātes un 2 tēvi, kuriem ir bērni vecumā no 3-7 gadu vecumam, ar noteikumu, ka nav uzsākuši mācības skolā. Aptauja tika izplatīta elektroniski izmantojot “Facebook” lietotni. Vecāku kompetences izjūtas, vecāku stresa un personības iezīmju savstarpējās saistības mātēm un tēviem

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot vecāku kompetences izjūtas, vecāku stresa un personības iezīmju saistības mātēm un tēviem, un pārbaudīt, vai vecāku kompetences izjūta darbojas kā mediators saistībās starp personības iezīmēm un vecāku stresu. Pētījumā piedalījās 70 vecāki, 35 mātes un 35 tēvi, kuriem ir 1 bērns vecumā no 3 līdz 7 gadiem. Pētījumā izmantotas 3 aptaujas: Vecāku kompetences izjūtas skala, Vecāku stresa indeksa aptauja, aptauja Lielais Piecinieks. Pētījuma rezultāti uzrādīja vairāk statistiski nozīmīgu saistību starp vecāku kompetences izjūtu, vecāku stresu un personības iezīmēm tēviem nekā mātēm, bet novērotās saistības neatšķirās pēc to ciešuma. The impact of children’s socioemotional development on parenting styles: the moderating effect of social withdrawal

This study focused on associations between children’s socioemotional development (prosocial behaviour, internalizing and externalizing problems) and parenting styles (affection, behavioural control, and psychological control), and the moderating role of children’s social withdrawal (as a temperamental characteristic) in these associations. Children’s socioemotional development (n = 314) were rated by teachers at three-time points (grades 1–3). Parental Support and Objectively Measured Physical Activity in Children : A Yearlong Cluster-Randomized Controlled Efficacy Trial

Purpose: We studied whether physical activity (PA) counseling for parents influenced the level of parental support of children’s PA and leisure-time PA in children of different levels of initial parental support. We hypothesized that the initial level of parental support would moderate the intervention efficacy. Method: Children (n = 44, Mage = 6.09 ± 1.17 years) and their parents (n = 61) randomly assigned to an intervention group received counseling for 6 months.
