In this work, we present a study of the performance of a double pass flat solar collector for the production of hot air to supply and improve drying techniques. The cases of an absorber with and without fins are analyzed.Theoretical models for the double pass solar collector with and without fins have been established and solved numerically using codes developed in Fortran to obtain a global approach. An efficient method to reduce the frequency averaged transverse vibration level of aplate by optimizing the position of attached passive constrained layer damping PCLD is presented.This method uses a multilayer anisotropic plate model which is an equivalent single layer platemodel (ESL) where transverse shear stresses and displacements are continuous at each layer’sinterfaces. Active and passive recovery influence responses of luteinizing hormone and testosterone to a fatiguing strength loading

The purpose of this study was to examine the acute hormonal and muscular responses to a strenuous strength loading [bilateral leg press (LP) 10x10 1RM] followed by loading-specific active (AR, n = 7, LP 10x10x30% 1RM) or passive (PR, n = 11, seated) recovery. The subjects were men age: 26±4 years, height: 174±8 cm, body mass: 75±13 kg. After control measurements, experimental measurements were conducted at pre and post loading as well as post recovery and next morning. Došanās misijā, lai kalpotu Dievam, ir sākotnējā mormoņu dzīves sastāvdaļa. Misionāri piedzīvo kaut ko ārkārtēju un dziļu ārpus savas komforta zonas, prom no dzimtenes un pilnīgi jaunā kultūras un sociālā kontekstā. Apmaiņā viņi piedzīvo garīgo attīstību, kā arī personisko attīstību. Misionāriem dalību misijā ar visām tās īpašībām var uzskatīt par notikumu pieauguša cilvēka procesā. Misijas laikā tiek ietekmēti dažādi pieaugušā vecuma aspekti. Šajā promocijas darbā esmu pētījusi mormoņu misionāru dzīvi Latvijā, lai pārbaudītu misijas ietekmi uz viņu kā indivīdu, kā arī mormoņu ticīgo dzīvi.

Purpose: The aim of the article is to analyse the processing of personal data of air passengers during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in the context of doubts that have arisen in connection with the need for these passengers to provide their personal data as part of filling out the Passenger Location Card questionnaire. The present practices for determining the concentration levels of various pollutants are in many respects insufficient and for this reason, there is an urgent need especially to develop more cost-effective sampling methods. In this study, a novel passive sampling tool (the Chemcatcher®) for monitoring nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEOs) and nonylphenol (NP) in aqueous media was tested.
