Profesjonsfaglig digital kompetanse blant norsklærere : En kvalitativ studie som undersøker hvordan norsklærere på mellomtrinnet tilrettelegger for e…
2019
Masteroppgave grunnskolelærerutdanning trinn 1-7 NO502 - Universitetet i Agder 2019 The purpose of this thesis wasto investigate primary school teachers (grades 5-7) and their professional digital competence in the Norwegian subject. The research was based on the question: How do teachers arrange for a digital didactic in the Norwegian subject as a result of their professional digital competence?Through a phenomenologicalstudy, it wasan aim to try to understand twelve teachersstatements about what it means forteachersofNorwegian to have professional digital competence. The study also aimedto gain insight into how teachers create design for learning in digital environments using digital tool…
Ozone-Based Atomic Layer Deposition of Al2O3 from Dimethylaluminum Chloride and Its Impact on Silicon Surface Passivation
2017
Dimethylaluminum chloride (DMACl) as an aluminum source has shown promising potential to replace more expensive and commonly used trimethylaluminum in the semiconductor industry for atomic layer deposited (ALD) thin films. Here, the Al2O3 DMACl-process is modified by replacing the common ALD oxidant, water, by ozone that offers several benefits including shorter purge time, layer-by-layer growth, and improved film adhesion. It is shown that the introduction of the ozone instead of water increases carbon and chlorine content in the Al2O3, while long ozone pulses increase the amount of interfacial hydrogen at silicon surface. These are found to be beneficial effects regarding the surface pass…
Human Activity Signatures Captured under Different Directions Using SISO and MIMO Radar Systems
2022
In this paper, we highlight and resolve the shortcomings of single-input single-output (SISO) millimeter wave (mm-Wave) radar systems for human activity recognition (HAR). A 2×2 distributed multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar framework is presented to capture human activity signatures under realistic conditions in indoor environments. We propose to distribute the two pairs of collocated transmitter–receiver antennas in order to illuminate the indoor environment from different perspectives. For the proposed MIMO system, we measure the time-variant (TV) radial velocity distribution and TV mean radial velocity to observe the signatures of human activities. We deploy the Anc…
Study of Σ(1385) and Ξ(1321) hyperon and antihyperon production in deep inelastic muon scattering
2013
Large samples of \Lambda, \Sigma(1385) and \Xi(1321) hyperons produced in deep-inelastic muon scattering off a ^6LiD target were collected with the COMPASS experimental setup at CERN. The relative yields of \Sigma(1385)^+, \Sigma(1385)^-, \bar{\Sigma}(1385)^-, \bar{\Sigma}(1385)^+, \Xi(1321)^-, and \bar{\Xi}(1321)^+ hyperons decaying into \Lambda(\bar{\Lambda})\pi were measured. The heavy hyperon to \Lambda and heavy antihyperon to \bar{\Lambda} yield ratios were found to be in the range 3.8% to 5.6% with a relative uncertainty of about 10%. They were used to tune the parameters relevant for strange particle production of the LEPTO Monte Carlo generator.
Co‐occurrence patterns in a steppe bird community: insights into the role of dominance and competition
2023
Spatial co-occurrence patterns are determined by environmental factors, such as food availability or habitat characteristics and by biotic associations. When resources are limited, competition which implies a dominant hierarchy can shape species assemblage. Here, we study space and time co-occurrence of steppe passerines during the breeding season in a natural steppe habitat, its modulation by environmental filtering, potential biotic interactions and random processes. We applied the joint species distribution model of hierarchical modelling of species community (HMSC) to data on species presence–absence and environmental, temporal and spatial covariates acquired from seven plots in a natur…
Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Mary Wollstonecraft on the imagination
2017
The article compares Rousseau’s and Wollstonecraft’s views on the imagination. It is argued that though Wollstonecraft was evidently influenced by Rousseau, there are significant differences between their views. These differences are grounded in their different views on the faculty of reason and its relation to the passions. Whereas Rousseau characterizes reason as a derivative faculty, grounded in the more primary faculty of perfectibility, Wollstonecraft perceives reason as the faculty defining human nature. It is argued that contrary to what is often assumed, Wollstonecraft’s conception of the imagination is not primarily characterized by its Romantic features, but rather by the close af…
Les miraculés a bierność edukacyjna i zawodowa młodych mieszkańców wsi - case study Polska i kraje UE
2018
Natural Laboratories for Field Observation About Genesis and Landscape Effects of Palaeo-Earthquakes: a Proposal for the Rocca Busambra and Monte Bar…
2018
Earthquakes are phenomena that are still being learned by the scientific community, and poorly known, especially as regards the prevention, by the population. Having a more complete knowledge is a basic step in understanding the vastness and intensity of the destructive phenomenon that involves a great amount of people. The recent earthquakes occurred in Central Italy (L’Aquila and Amatrice earthquakes) are examples that demonstrate the importance of having knowledge about these phenomena to contrast their destructive effects. We present a geological field trip to recognise causes and landscape effects of palaeo-earthquakes recorded in the Mesozoic rock successions outcropping in Sicily. Th…
Ecomorphological predictors of natal dispersal distances in birds.
2008
1. Dispersal is one of the key ecological parameters but it is very difficult to quantify directly. As a consequence, empirical studies often ignore dispersal or use indirect measures. 2. Ringing data have previously been used to estimate the natal dispersal distances of 47 British passerine bird species. This provides an excellent opportunity to examine the potential of various indirect measures to predict natal dispersal distances in British birds. 3. We use a phylogenetic comparative framework and single- and multipredictor models including ecomorphological, behavioural or ecological traits to predict natal dispersal distance. 4. A multipredictor model that includes Kipp's distance (a me…
