Balstoties uz to, ka katra sociālā grupa ir kādas latīņu kristīgās Eiropas garīgās vai laicīgās sfēras reprezentante, bakalaura darbā “Ieinteresēto sociālo grupu ietekme uz eiropeizācijas procesu Austrumbaltijā (1199-1229)” identificēti četri Austrumbaltijas eiropeizācijā ieinteresētie aktori – garīdzniecība, Dānijas Karaliste, bruņniecība un tāltirgotāji – un analizēta viņu nozīme eiropeizācijas procesā laika periodā no 1199. gada līdz 1229.gadam. Izmantojot viduslaiku Livonijas 13. gs. hroniku materiālu, pētījuma rezultātā ir izdevies padziļināt skatījumu uz Austrumbaltijas integrāciju latīņu kristīgās Eiropas kultūrtelpā un tajā iesaistīto aktoru mijiedarbību.

Laboratory experiments were carried out to investigate the effect of two strains of Microcystis aeruginosa and a strain of Nodularia spumigena on the survival of Eurytemora affinis (Copepoda) and on the embryonic and larval development of the Baltic spring-spawning herring Clupea harengus membras. The trials were made in water taken from Parnu Bay, at a salinity of 3.7–5.1 psu, a constant temperature (15°C ± 1°C in trials with Eurytemora and herring embryos; 18°C ± 2°C with herring larvae), and an oxygen concentration of 8.8–10.4 ppm. Background While both maturity and light exposure are important factors determining olive fruit physiology, the relationship between maturity, canopy position and optimal harvesting time has not been well-studied. To understand the interaction of these factors, olive fruits from upper and lower layers of the canopy were harvested from September to January. Maturity, moisture and fat content of the fruit as well as the quality and minor components of the oil extracted were measured. Abstract The aim of this study was to determine the influence of static and multi-pulsed hydrostatic pressure processing (HPP) treatments on the polyphenolic profile, oxidoreductase activity, colour, and browning index of carrot juice. Phenolic acids, flavonoids, lignans and other polyphenols were the predominant polyphenols detected with Triple-TOF-LC-MS/MS. The highest concentration of ferulic acid, didymin, dihydro-p-coumaric acid, sesaminol and matairesinol isomers were found among all the compounds detected. Evolution of phenolic compounds virgin olive oil during storage

Phenolic compounds are of fundamental importance to the shelf life of virgin olive oils because of their antioxidative properties. In this paper, the evolution of simple and complex olive oil phenols during 18 mon of storage is studied by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis. The olive oils under examination were from various olive cultivars, harvested in two sectors in the same region at different stages of ripeness. The findings indicate that it is not the variety but rather the ripeness of the olives and the soil and climate that influence the phenol composition of virgin olive oil.
