Piesardzības princips ir koncepts starptautiskajās vides tiesībās, kas ietver ideju, ka zinātniskā neskaidrība nav attaisnojums, lai veiktu darbības, kas kaitīgi ietekmē vidi. Tā statuss kā paražai starptautiskajās tiesībās joprojām tiek uztverts skeptiski, tāpēc darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai piesardzības princips ir šādu stausu ieguvis. Šī darba ietvaros tiks aplūkots normatīvais regulējums, tiesu prakse un valstu prakse, lai izpildītu darba uzdevumus- noteikt piesardzības principa definīciju, kā arī noteikt kāds ir opinio juris un valstu prakse attiecībā uz to. Autore uzskata, ka darba rezultātā ir noteicams, ka ir radusies paražu tiesībā attiecībā uz piesardzības principu.

Many real life problems can be modelled as multiobjective optimization problems. Such problems often consist of multiple conflicting objectives to be optimized simultaneously. Multiple optimal solutions exist to these problems, and a single solution cannot be said to be the best without preferences given by a domain expert. Preferences can be used to find satisfying solutions: optimal solutions, which best match the expert’s preferences. We extend the classical Carath\'eodory extension theorem to quasiconformal Jordan domains $( Y, d_{Y} )$. We say that a metric space $( Y, d_{Y} )$ is a quasiconformal Jordan domain if the completion $\overline{Y}$ of $( Y, d_{Y} )$ has finite Hausdorff $2$-measure, the boundary $\partial Y = \overline{Y} \setminus Y$ is homeomorphic to $\mathbb{S}^{1}$, and there exists a homeomorphism $\phi \colon \mathbb{D} \rightarrow ( Y, d_{Y} )$ that is quasiconformal in the geometric sense. We show that $\phi$ has a continuous, monotone, and surjective extension $\Phi \colon \overline{ \mathbb{D} } \rightarrow \overline{ Y }$. This result is best possible in this generality.
