International audience; Nous montrons que les systèmes fibrés présentent des caractéristiques remarquables pour la génération et le contrôle d'impulsions rares et intenses similaires aux vagues scélérates océaniques. En particulier, l'amplificateur Raman faiblement dispersif pompé par une onde incohérente a permis de mettre en évidence l'apparition d'ondes scélérates optiques. Un bon accord théorie - expérience est observé.

Organiskie materiāli ir daudzsološi dažādiem moderniem pielietojumiem, tai skaitā optiski ierosinātiem organiskajiem cietvielu lāzeriem, kuriem vajadzīgi materiāli ar augstu pastiprināšanās koeficientu un zemām ierosmes enerģijām. Vairumā organisko sistēmu šie parametri ir limitēti krāsvielu molekulu kristalizācijas dēļ. Tādēļ savienojumi ar samazinātu kristalizēšanos būtu ļoti noderīgi. Abstract Natural products (NPs) from microorganisms have been important sources for discovering new therapeutic and chemical entities. While their corresponding biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs) can be easily identified by gene‐sequence‐similarity‐based bioinformatics strategies, the actual access to these NPs for structure elucidation and bioactivity testing remains difficult. Deletion of the gene encoding the RNA chaperone, Hfq, results in strains losing the production of most NPs. Cultivation of microorganisms, plants or animal cells requires liquid agitation in order to ensure oxygen and nutrient transfer and to maintain cell suspension. However, In such suspensions both mechanical agitation and sparging aeration can cause cell death. Many studies on animal cell damage due to mechanical agitation and sparging aeration have shown that mechanical damage of freely suspended animal cells is in most cases associated with bursting bubbles at the air–liquid interface (Barrett et al., 2010, Nienow et al., 1996). Coherent Amplification of the Short Optical Pulse in a Non-linear Birefringent Medium

International audience; The propagation of the solitary waves in the resonant birefringent amplifier with linear losses is considered. The birefringent optical linear medium contains two-level atoms with the upper state degenerated over projection of angular moment. It is assumed that population of resonance levels of atoms is inverted. The steady state pulse of polarized radiation that is vectorial generalization of the known pi-pulse was analytically found. Numerical simulations demonstrate the formation dynamics solitary waves originated in birefringent amplifier.
