Katafātiskās un apofātiskās pieejas mijiedarbība Pseidodionīsija Aeropagīta darbā "Mistiskā teoloģija"

2015

Dotajā darbā tiek izskatīts viens no Areopagitiskā korpusa sacerējumiem - "Mistiskā teoloģija".

Effects of Propofol (Intravenous Propofol Emulsion) on Cell Membranes Measured by Electrofusion and Electroporation

2011

The influence of propofol (CAS 2078-54-8 (intravenous propofol emulsion) on cell membrane properties was investigated in vitro with techniques of cell electrofusion and cell electroporation. Human lymphoma cells and plant protoplasts were chosen as a model system. Propofol (intravenous propofol emulsion) decreased the electrofusion yield of the cells and their membrane permeability. A 50% decrease in relative electrofusion was observed in human lymphoma cells in the presence of about 0.05 mmol/l propofol (intravenous propofol emulsion) and in plant protoplasts in the presence of about 0.1 mmol/l. The fusion of human lymphoma cells was inhibited to 100% at concentrations higher than 0.2 mmol…

Dose Escalation of Caspofungin for Invasive Aspergillosis - A Phase II Trial

2010

Abstract Abstract 2309 Objectives. Treatment of invasive aspergillosis (IA) fails in up to 50% of all cases and the mortality rate is at least 30%. Antifungal combination treatment has not been proven to be beneficial and dose escalation with liposomal amphotericin B did not improve outcome. New approaches are needed for patients with severe immunosuppression. Methods. Escalating high dosages of caspofungin were investigated in IA defined according to modified EORTC/MSG criteria. The tested cohort of patients received 70mg, 100mg, 150mg or 200mg QD, 8 patients each were to receive caspofungin first-line treatment for proven/probable IA for up to 28 days. Dose limiting toxicity was defined a…

Successful Topical Application of Caspofungin in the Treatment of Fungal Keratitis Refractory to Voriconazole

2010

Fungal keratitis is an important ophthalmic problem because it leads to corneal blindness and sometimes to loss of the eye.1,2 There is no agreed protocol for the treatment of suspected fungal keratitis. Topical and oral voriconazole have now been reported to be effective.3 However, some cases do not respond to this treatment. New antifungal agents such as caspofungin acetate, 0.5%, are promising alternatives

Hypofractionnated radiotherapy for elderly patients with prostate cancer

2018

Radiation therapy technique and schedules could be adapted to patient's age because of a natural history of prostate cancer perceived as different, taking into account the comorbidities of patients but also a particular tolerance of elderly subjects. Thus, in localized prostate cancer, evaluation of associated diseases is essential before considering a treatment that will be of interest only if the life expectancy is greater than 10 years. When a curative approach is decided, radiotherapy holds a place of choice. Due to the recent results of randomized studies evaluating moderate hypofractionnated radiotherapy, showing a carcinological equivalence compared to a standard fractionation, this …

Adipose stem cells on the basis of tumor transformation

Mesenchymal stem cells thanks to their differentiated multipotent ability are considered the most promising candidate for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. The source of mesenchymal stem cells up to about 20 years was represented by the bone marrow, but due to their limited amount of cells together with a very invasive and painfull surgical treatment, poorly accepted by patients, has led the scientific community to investigate an alternative mesenchymal stem cells source with similar properties. In particular, the adipose tissue has attracted the greatest interest thanks to its relative abundance, the easy of availability and the large amounts of mesenchymal stem cells which are…
