This article presents a cultural analysis of the reasons that waking hypnosis is widely accepted in Spain. These reasons relate to several features of the Spanish people, including their attitude towards others, politics, religion, habits and even the climate in which they live. In general, Spaniards seem to perceive ‘waking’ hypnosis as a technique that better adapts to their lifestyle than more traditional forms of hypnosis. In addition, they may be able to have more confidence in ‘waking’ hypnosis as it appears less threatening, since it is differentiated from stage hypnosis as presented by the media. The rise of e-campaigning is often associated with its ability to circumvent journalistic principles of news selection and presentation. By this, parties and candidates are said to free themselves from the discretionary power of the mass media and to reach voters in an unfiltered way. This conventional wisdom is tested through a comparative content analysis of German party websites in state, national, and European parliamentary elections between 2002 and 2009. Political discussions on social network platforms represent an increasingly relevant source of political information, an opportunity for the exchange of opinions and a popular source of quotes for media outlets. We analyzed political communication on Twitter during the run-up to the German general election of 2009 by extracting a directed network of user interactions based on the exchange of political information and opinions. A mechanism of coalition formation in the metaphor of politics multiagent architecture

Hybrid Multi-Agent Architectures allow the support of mobile robots colonies moving in dynamic, not predictable and time variable environments in order to achieve distributed solving strategies that develop collective team-oriented behaviors for solving complicate and difficult tasks. The development of a new robotic architecture for the coordination of a robot colonies in dangerous, unknown and dynamic environment is outlined. The name of this new architecture is Metaphor of Politics (MP), because it loosely takes inspiration from the political organizations of democratic governments.

The article describes the development of information technology in Latvia, in IMCS, to the middle of the 1990s. The history of IMCS represents the usage of computers in typical computing centers in the former Soviet Union and the transformation from computing center to research institution. It also represents Latvian collaboration with the Nordic countries that provided political, scientific, and technological support. Historical documents, computer parts, and photos are collected in the Computer Museum of IMCS.

Despite its importance for the long-term viability of populations and functioning of ecosystems, the genetic diversity of populations is seldom given explicit consideration in conservation prioritization. Research on the species–genetic diversity correlation (SGDC) suggests that species diversity within a community and intrapopulation genetic diversity are positively correlated, due to the parallel influences of environmental characteristics (area, connectivity, and environmental heterogeneity) on both levels of diversity. In the paper I will analyze the renewal of the constitution in the Baltic States and Georgia after the collapse of the socialist system. The renewal of the old constitutions are infrequent events in the world. In the Baltic States and Georgia, the restoration of the old constitutions had symbolic and political importance, reinforcing the doctrine of state continuity and legitimizing the new constitutional order after the transformation.
