Psychosocial Profile of Spanish Adolescent Aggressors and Victims of Dating Violence

Resumen El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar posibles diferencias en satisfacción con la vida, ánimo depresivo, autoconcepto y comunicación familiar entre adolescentes no implicados en violencia de pareja, agresores, víctimas, implicados en el rol de agresor-víctima de forma ocasional e implicados en este rol frecuentemente. Participaron 672 adolescentes españoles (325 chicas, 347 chicos), entre 12 y 19 años (M = 14.45; DT = 1.62). Little is known about orthorexia in both its pathological (orthorexia nervosa, OrNe) and adaptive (healthy orthorexia, HeOr) forms. To date, few studies have been carried out to analyze the personality profile associated with orthorexia, and the results have been contradictory. The aim of the present study was to explore the characteristic pathological personality traits associated with OrNe and HeOr. Se ofrece el perfil de la mujer que ha sufrido malos tratos, a partir de un estudio con 297 mujeres que reciben ayudas sociales por parte del Ayuntamiento de Valencia. La incidencia del maltrato en este grupo es del 37,3%. We renormalize, using suitable lenses, small domains of a singular holomorphic line field of ${\mathbb C}^2$ or plane field of ${\mathbb C}^3$ where the curvature of a plane-field is concentrated. At a proper scale the field is almost invariant by translations. When the field is integrable, the leaves are locally almost translates of a surface that we will call {\it profile}. When the singular rays of the tangent cone (a generalization to a plane-field of the tangent cone of a singular surface is defined) are isolated, we obtain more precise results. Study engagement and burnout profiles among Finnish higher education students

A person-oriented approach was applied to identify profiles of study engagement and burnout (i.e., exhaustion, cynicism, inadequacy) in higher education in a large and representative sample of 12,394 higher education students at different phases of their studies in universities and polytechnics in Finland. Four profiles were identified: Engaged (44%), engaged-exhausted (30%) inefficacious (19%) and burned-out (7%). The engaged students had the most positive engagement accompanied with the least burnout symptoms compared to other groups. Few studies examine relationships between intercultural strategies and adaptation among adolescents using a person-oriented approach. Framed from an intercultural psychology perspective, this study used such an approach in order to examine the influence of intercultural profiles, patterns of relationships among variables related to intercultural strategies, on the adaptation of adolescents of both non-dominant and dominant groups.
