Kvalifikācijas darbā ir izstrādāta Android lietotne pasākumu organizācijai. Lietotne sastāv no četrām daļām. Pirmajā (galvenajā) daļā «Pasākumi», lietotājs var apskatīt dažādes aktivitātes un var tām pievienoties. Pasākumi dalās 3 dažādos tipos: • «Publiskie (Public) pasākumi» – pasākumi, kuros ir piekļuve visiem lietotājiem, ar dalībnieku skaita ierobežojumu. • «Masu pasākumi» – pasākumi, kuros ir piekļuve visiem lietotājiem, bez dalībnieku skaita ierobežojuma. • «Slēgtie pasākumi» – pasākumi, kuriem ir ierobežots lietotāju loks. Darbā ir aprakstīts slīdrādes rīka „InfoDesk” funkcionalitātes paplašināšana, atkļūdojot un papildinot to. „InfoDesk” nodrošina slaidu veidošanu, konfigurējamību un slīdrādi uz Android ierīcēm ar API līmeni 14 vai augstāk. Pirms kvalifikācijas darbā aprakstītajām izmaiņām „InfoDesk” spēja izveidot slaidus, tos atskaņot, kā arī konfigurēt tos, bet katrā no šīm darbībām programma varēja pātraukt darboties. „InfoDesk” klāt pievienotā funkcionalitātē ietilpst plašāka slaidā pievienoto elementu kontrole, saglabāšana uz ārējas atmiņas ierīces, labāka atmiņas lietošana, vispārēja programmatūras stabilitāte. Sistēma realizēta Java programmēšanas valodā, izstrādes vidēs Eclipse un Android Studio.

Attention is increasingly being focussed on the cell cycle and apoptosis as potential targets for therapeutic intervention in cancer. We prepared a series of bioisosteric benzannelated seven-membered 5-FU O,N-acetals to test them against the MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line. Benzo-fused seven-membered O,O-acetals or their acyclic analogues led to the expected 5-FU O,N-acetals (or aminals), in addition to six- and 14-membered aminal structures and acyclic compounds. All the cyclic aminals provoked a G0/G1-phase cell cycle arrest, whereas Ftorafur, a known prodrug of 5-FU, and 1-[2-(2-hydroxymethyl-4-nitrophenoxy)-1-methoxyethyl]-5-fluorouracil (11) induced an S-phase cell cycle arrest. This article presents the development of a MATLAB® computer program to simulate the performance of biotrickling filters. Since these filters behave differently during spraying and nonspraying cycles, the presented simulation tool is built on top of a mathematical description of each situation. The resulting variable-structure model is then used as the basis for simulation experiments. Author's accepted manuscript. The upgrading of building infrastructure to modern standards represents a key tool for reducing global energy demand and emissions from buildings. In Norway, building upgrades have been prioritized despite the relatively low carbon intensity of the Norwegian energy mix through various incentive programs and continual improvement in building standards. Prioritizing upgrades is important as up to 90% of the existing Norwegian building stock is expected to remain standing by the year 2050.
