Bakalaura darba mērķis ir Latvijas atkritumu apsaimniekošanas valsts plāna (AAVP) sadaļas par atkritumu pārstrādi izvērtēšana, novērtējot tā izpildi, tendences un šķēršļus ceļā uz ES mērķa - atkārtotai izmantošanai nodrošināt 50% sadzīves atkritumu (pēc svara). Tiek izvērtēts vai ar pašreizējo un plānoto automātisko šķirošanas līniju jaudu un tehnisko nodrošinājumu ir iespējams sasniegt šo mērķi, un tas - kādas pārmaiņas varētu nest plānotās izmaiņas Rīgas pašvaldības atkritumu apsaimniekošanas sistēmā pēc 2020. gada.

Meža silpurenes Pulsatilla patens (L.) Mill. demogrāfiskos parametrus ietekmējošie faktori

Lai noskaidrotu nozīmīgākos Eiropā retās meža silpurenes Pulsatilla patens augšanu un vairošanos ietekmējošos faktorus, 2020. gada pavasarī un vasarā četrās teritorijās tika apsekoti 43 parauglaukumi. Tika noteikti sugu projektīvie segumi, nobiru un atmirušo augu segumi un atklātās augsnes laukums, kā arī veģetācijas atjaunošanās parauglaukumos, kuros 2019. gada pavasarī bija noņemta zemsedze. Tika analizēta iegūto datu saistība ar Pulsatilla patens demogrāfiskajiem un augsnes ķīmiskajiem un morfoloģiskajiem parametriem. Running faster and jumping higher? Survival and growth in international manufacturing new ventures

Going international early is increasingly the choice of new ventures in manufacturing industries. However, does earliness provide a positive outcome for internationalisation? To answer this, we have longitudinally analysed 3181 manufacturing new ventures established between 2002 and 2012. Using Cox regressions, we found that the 124 late internationals had the lowest risk of failure, while the 229 early internationals could not compensate for their mortality risk with significantly higher levels of growth in the post-internationalisation period. FAST EDGE-FILTERED IMAGE UPSAMPLING.

We present a novel edge preserved interpolation scheme for fast upsampling of natural images. The proposed piecewise hyperbolic operator uses a slope-limiter function that conveniently lends itself to higher-order approximations and is responsible for restricting spatial oscillations arising due to the edges and sharp details in the image. As a consequence the upsampled image not only exhibits enhanced edges, and discontinuities across boundaries, but also preserves smoothly varying features in images. Experimental results show an improvement in the PSNR compared to typical cubic, and spline-based interpolation approaches.

There is growing evidence that capsaicin-sensitive afferent neurones participate in the protective mechanisms of the gastric mucosa against damage. Animals pretreated systemically with capsaicin, at doses that lead to the ablation of capsaicin-sensitive afferent neurons, show an increase in the level of macro-scopically apparent mucosal damage in different experimental models of ulceration (Szolcsanyi and Bartho, 1981; Holzer and Sametz, 1986). Furthermore, acute stimulation with capsaicin of afferent nerve endings located in the gastric mucosa protects against different ulcerogenic mechanisms (Szolcsanyi and Bartho, 1981; Holzer and Lippe, 1988; Holzer et al., 1989).
Mediterranean coccolith ecobiostratigraphy since the penultimate Glacial (the last 145,000years) and ecobioevent traceability

The Mediterranean Sea is a miniature ocean ideal to test the response of marine ecosystems to amplified orbital and suborbital climate changes. Here we present coccolith data from a Sardinia Channel gravity core (Arcose C_33) analysed over the last 145,000 years, with a mean resolution of about 900 years. The study highlights that regional phytoplankton assemblages underwent significant modifications between the penultimate glacial and the last interglacial, as well as between the last glacial and the Holocene. The N ratio palaeoproductivity index suggests reduced productivity levels and the development of a deep nutricline during the last interglacial and the Holocene. Within the last glac…
