"Oli kerran Tuulikki-tonttu" : sisäistekijyys ja tekijyys lapsen tuottamissa teoksissa

2013

Five years review of extraction frequencies at S.D.M. College of dental sciences and Hospital in orthodontic department

2019

Background To find out the frequency of extraction in general, in Class I, Class II Class III patients, and to compare the frequency of extraction among sex and age. Material and methods 550 cases were selected retrospectively having detailed case history, complete records of facial photographs, lateral cephalogram, orthopantomographs and study models. Frequency of extraction was evaluated separately for class I, class II and class III malocclusion and for sex and ages, using the records collected. Results Show that there was 59.80% of extraction in general. Comparison of sex shows that there were 66.60 of extraction in females. The mean age of males for extraction was 17.85 +/- 4.18 and th…

Closed foldable capsular rings

2004

A new foldable capsular tension and bending ring system with a sharp-edged design is described. The closed foldable capsular rings (CFCR) consist of 8 hydrophobic and 8 hydrophilic ring segments. The CFCRs have a 9.2 mm minimum overall diameter. The CFCRs were inserted using various cartridge systems or a two-folded technique with a forceps. The CFCRs were implanted after phacoemulsification through a small (1.6 to 3.2 mm) incision in 104 human adult eyes without intraoperative complications. No postoperative complications such as capsule folds or inward bending were observed over a 6-month follow-up. Posterior capsule opacification was minimal or absent in all eyes.

Influence of temperature and NaCl on the release in aqueous liquid media of aroma compounds encapsulated in edible films

2012

This work analyses the release of n-hexanal and D-limonene from edible films, previously encapsulated in the iota-carrageenan matrix (with and without lipid). Both volatile compounds have different physicochemical properties. The effect of temperature (25 degrees C and 37 degrees C) and dissolution medium (water and 0.9% NaCl) on the release and retention of aroma compounds were studied. Hydrophobicity and wettability properties of active iota-carrageenan films were also studied and they were related with the internal and surface microstructure of films. Results highlight that D-limonene is encapsulated in the lipid phase of the films decreasing the release in the salt medium. D-limonene, t…

Encapsulació i estructura informativa en el debat parlamentari. Una anàlisi contrastiva (català – espanyol – anglès)

2016

Parliamentary debate (PD) as a specific genre of parliamentary discourse exhibits a hybrid nature: part oral and part written discourse. It is performed orally, but planned ahead and formal. From the point of view of lexical cohesion, encapsulation by means of abstract and unspecific nouns (e.g. factor reason) is an indicator of the informative density and the underlying written natureof PD.With the tools provided by Discourse Analysis and Cognitive Linguistics, this paper aims at describing and characterizing cross-linguistically lexical encapsulation’s potential to define the information struc-ture of PD. In this regard, encapsulation is analyzed in relation to the notions of topic and fo…

Préparation de liposomes fonctionnels pour l’encapsulation de composés bioactifs ou de sondes moléculaires fluorescentes pour l’imagerie cellulaire

2016

At ICMUB Institute, SUV liposomes have been used to achieve fluorophore encapsulation (subphtalocyanine) for cellular imaging [1] and have been bioconjugated to a peptide (bombesin) to achieve site-specificity, thanks to the structural modification of cholesterol, a component of the liposome, upon introduction of a reactive function. Hence, such liposomes fonctionnalised on the outer face may react with the terminal function of the peptide. Upon purification of the liposome by FPLC a 15 % encapsulation rate was measured by UV/Vis and attempted by ICP. The (outer) diameter of the liposomes (dDLS and dMET) ranged between 20 and 60 nm depending on the type of function or substituents on the ou…

Hemodynamic changes in splanchnic circulation after orthotopic liver transplantation in patients with liver cirrhosis

2002

Background: Liver cirrhosis increases portal vein pressure and alters the splanchnic circulation. With Doppler sonography, we investigated the hemodynamic changes in the portal vein, superior mesenteric artery, hepatic and splenic arteries and spleen size in a group of patients with end-stage liver disease before and after orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT). Methods: Ten patients (seven male, three female; mean age = 48.8 ± 7.6 years) who underwent OLT for liver cirrhosis mainly associated with hepatitis C virus infection completed the study. The control group consisted of 10 patients matched by sex and age who had no gastroenterologic or vascular diseases. All patients underwent duplex…

Bio-orthogonal triazolinedione (TAD) crosslinked protein nanocapsules affect protein adsorption and cell interaction

2020

Albumin-based protein nanocarriers have been widely exploited as drug delivery systems, since they show excellent degradability, low toxicity, but at the same time provide high loading capacity and relevant uptake into cells. For the formation of protein nanocapsules, bio-orthogonal reactions are important so that the material to be encapsulated is not affected by the shell formation. We show that protein nanocapsules with narrow size distributions and low protein adsorption upon contact with blood serum can be synthesized by inverse miniemulsion and interfacial crosslinking of the protein using triazolinediones (TADs) as powerful dienophiles and enophiles, which smoothly perform electrophi…
