2020
In recent months much has been written and said about the pandemic, produced by coronavirus SARS-CoV2, which results in COVID-191 and which is causing deaths all over the world, affecting above all those social strata that, due to their own living conditions, do not know how to defend themselves. The book returns to the subject, examining the interactive play of the different factors that lie at the root of this dramatic social phenomenon and that constitutes yet another warning, from the most unheeded, about the real conditions of our planet and the possibility that life can continue to reproduce in it. Within the analysis of these different factors we wanted to pay particular attention to…
Pandemia e neoliberismo: un incastro perfetto. Diseguaglianza, povertà e marginalità
2022
COVID-SCORE Spain: public perceptions of key government COVID-19 control measures
2021
Abstract Background Spain was initially one of the countries most affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In June 2020, the COVID-SCORE-10 study reported that the Spanish public’s perception of their government’s response to the pandemic was low. This study examines these perceptions in greater detail. Methods We employed an ordered logistic regression analysis using COVID-SCORE-10 data to examine the Spanish public’s perception of 10 key aspects of their government’s COVID-19 control measures. These included support for daily needs, mental and general health services, communication, information and coordination, which were examined by gender, age, education level, hav…
Signed, Sealed, and Delivered with Trust: Non-Resident Citizens’ Experiences of Newly Adopted Postal Voting
2021
The COVID-19 pandemic has made it clear that the traditional “booth, ballot, and pen” model of voting, based on a specific location and physical presence, may not be feasible during a health crisis. This situation has highlighted the need to assess whether existing national electoral legislation includes enough instruments to ensure citizens’ safety during voting procedures, even under the conditions of a global pandemic. Such instruments, often grouped under the umbrella of voter facilitation or convenience voting, range from voting in advance and various forms of absentee voting (postal, online, and proxy voting) to assisted voting and voting at home and in hospitals and other healthcare …

La psicopandemia nelle relazioni di coppia
2022
The paper analyses couples' feelings and dynamics during Covid-19 pandemic: I feel stuck, in a sort of limbo where essences of life buzz around me, but I can’t access them. Life is at once too overwhelming and not engaging enough. Each task I do requires a search for motivation beyond anything I’ve ever known. I’m tired, burnt out, and not often excited, but also restless, eager to engage, and trying. What’s more, the seemingly unending waves of pandemic panic only further contribute to my inability to feel fully present in my life.

The Pandemic and Its Shadow. Feminist Theoretical and Art Discourses on Trauma and Community in COVID-19
2022
This article explores the philosophical and psychoanalytic trajectories of conceptualizing the Covid-19 pandemic as ‘collective trauma’, and considers what would be the risks, but also productive possibilities, of such a theoretical move. the context of this inquiry is the so-called ‘shadow pandemic’ – the drastic increase in domestic violence globally, which accompanied introduction of lockdowns as a measure of containing the impact of Covid-19 on public health infrastructures. For the women who were victims of violence during the lockdowns, the discourse of ‘sheltering’, ‘isolation’ and ‘staying home’ has carried antithetical meanings to the o6cially sanctioned ones – those were meanings …
