Tēma: Latvijas republikas vēlētāju aktivitātes 2019.gada Eiropas Parlamenta vēlēšanās asociētie faktori. Mērķis: analizēt vēlētāju aktivitātes sociāli demogrāfisko faktoru determinantu un nebalsošanas iemeslu atšķirības. Aktualitāte: 2019. gada EP vēlēšanās Latvijā piedalījušies 474 390 jeb 33,53% balsstiesīgo. Salīdzinot ar 2014. gada EP vēlēšanām, vēlētāju aktivitāte pieaugusi par 3,3%, kad EP vēlēšanās piedalījās 30,24% vēlētāju. Taču salīdzinot ar 2004. un 2009. gada EP vēlēšanām, vēlētāju aktivitāte samazinājās par 7,81% un 20,17%. Il volume tratta della figura e dell'opera di Filippo Meda, esponente del movimento cattolico italiano tra la fine del XIX secolo e il primo trentennio del XX. Alla luce di un epistolario intercorso tra Meda e Toniolo si ripercorre il dramma di quei cattolici italiani nel tentativo di coniugare, a seguito della caduta del potere temporale del papa, il desiderio di essere cittadini attivi di una Patria riscattata e la volontà di rimanere fedeli ubbidienti alla Chiesa romana.
Parliamentary sources in the comparative study of conceptual history: methodological aspects and illustrations of a research proposal

Summary: This article proposes that historians and political theorists should exploit parliamentary sources to move from the writing of national histories to the comparative study of the conceptual history of European political cultures. Complementing the German lexicographical approach to conceptual history, the authors argue that parliamentary debates in several European countries provide more reliable sources for the past use of the language of politics. Representative, legislative and deliberative assemblies are commonly called parliaments. The three types of assemblies share many procedures and practices, and the Inter-Parliamentary Union includes all three types among its members. Nonetheless, as ideal types in the Weberian sense, the three kinds of political assemblies do differ in their modes of acting and thinking politically. Ir pieņemts uzskatīt, ka, ja tulks prasmīgi veic savu darbu, viņam ir jābūt neredzamam, kas savukārt pierāda viņa meistarību (Banafsheh, 2014). Šī pieņēmuma dēļ sabiedrībai ir tieksme aizmirst par tulka vērā ņemamo ietekmi saziņas uzturēšanā, jo īpaši diplomātiskajā vidē, kur teiktais var mainīt vēstures gaitu. Tādēļ šajā bakalaura darbā tika apskatītas Eiropas Parlamenta debates, to tulkojumi un izmantotās mutiskās tulkošanas stratēģijas. Reizēs, kad nav iespējams veikt burtisku tulkojumu, tulkošanas stratēģiju izvēle atspoguļo veidu, kādā tulki atrisina problēmas, kas saistītas ar daudzās valodās notiekošo un bieži vien nenoteikto komunikāciju diplomātiskajā vidē.
