Synthetic Pathways for New Tubular Transition Metal Hydroxo- and Fluoro-Selenites: Crystal Structures ofM12(X)2(SeO3)8(OH)6(M=Co2+,Ni2+;X= OH−)

The dumortierite-family structuresM12X2(SeO3)8(OH)6(M= Co2+and Ni2+;X= OH−and F−) have been synthesized. The crystal structures of the hydroxo-derivatives have been refined from X?ray powder diffraction data in the space groupP63mc(Z= 1) witha= 12.887(3) A andc= 4.981(4) A (M= Co2+,X= OH−or F−) anda= 12.704(5) A andc= 4.925(6) A (M= Ni2+,X= OH−or F−). Application of the Partial Charge Transference Model allows the understanding of the selenite derivatives crystal chemistry.

Das nach dem Erhitzen oft innerhalb von Sekunden stattfindende partielle Schmelzen und erneute Kristallisieren von Terylen konnte mittels einer Abschreckmethode quantitativ untersucht werden. Die je nach der thermischen Vorbehandlung verschiedenen Schmelzkurven wurden unbeeinflust von Neukristallisationseffekten aufgenommen und weiterhin der Nachweis erbracht, das nur die gesamte Schmelzkurve und nicht der Kristallisationsgrad allein den kristallinen Zustand einer Probe ausreichend charakterisiert. Abstract The design of experiments (DOE) is a good option for rationally limiting the number of experiments required to achieve the enantioresolution (Rs) of a chiral compound in capillary electrophoresis. Abstract A partial-wave analysis of the reaction p p →π 0 π 0 π 0 has been performed using a high-quality high-statistics data set of 712 000 events. In addition to the f0(975) and f0(1300), the scalar resonance with mass m = (1500 ± 15) MeV and width Γ = (120 ± 25) MeV is necessary to describe the data.

The substantia nigra (SN) has been proposed as a structure involved in epileptiform phenomena. Previous investigations demonstrated that SN is able to elicit hippocampal rhythmic slow activity (RSA) as well as to inhibit hippocampal interictal spikes induced by parenteral administration of penicillin. The present series of experiments was carried out in order to characterize the action of SN on a focal model of hippocampal epilepsy. This paper addresses the questions who is buying and who is selling options on a stock, the optimal position to hold, and how this affects the price. The individual demand functions and the equilibrium allocation are derived using an asymptotically valid expansion. Trading occurs only at discrete dates; the option does not have to complete the market. The paper also discusses the conditions under which trade results, the importance of heterogeneity for trade, when preferences become irrelevant to price options, and the case in which there is only a spanning demand, but no risk-sharing demand in options.
