Bronze chisels are tools used “à percussion posée”; this means they need a minimum length and some functional parts (tang, body, blade); they could have a handle of perishable material and they were used with a hammer to work wood, bronze and other materials. Chisels can be classified following their functional parts; the first element is the shape (rod or socketed chisel); the second one is body section; the third one is tang section. Chronology and distribution of every type were identified to obtain a general view of this class of tools during the Italian Bronze Age.

Ionisation pour 13 percussionnistes (1928-1931) d’Edgard Varèse pose plusieurs problèmes d’interprétation tels que le choix des instruments, le positionnement des musiciens, l’équilibre entre les parties en fonction des différentes textures, la synchronisation dans les passages polyrythmiques et le tempo. Brain and body percussion : the relationship between motor and cognitive functions

The focus of this thesis is the relationship between embodied motor rhythmic exercises (e.g. body percussion) and executive functions. Decades’ long successful application of this method within general classrooms and in music education led to the hypothesis that body percussion could have a positive impact on core cognitive functions also referred to as executive functions. Two pilot experiments were conducted to test proper settings for investigating the above-mentioned relationship.
