The discrete quantum walk in N dimensions is analyzed from the perspective of its dispersion relations. This allows understanding known properties, as well as designing new ones when spatially extended initial conditions are considered. This is done by deriving wave equations in the continuum, which are generically of the Schrodinger type, and allows devising interesting behavior, such as ballistic propagation without deformation, or the generation of almost flat probability distributions, which is corroborated numerically. Tetra and pentaquarks from the molecular perspective

We present results for the analysis of the B+ → J/ψϕK+ which shows the contribution of two resonances, the X(4140) and X(4160) and a cusp at the $D_s^*\bar D_s^*$ threshold tied to the molecular character of the X(4160) resonance. In the second part we present the results for the theoretical approach to the new Ωcstates from the molecular perspective. In both cases we compare with results of the LHCb collaboration.
Geometric operators in the asymptotic safety scenario for quantum gravity

We consider geometric operators, such as the geodesic length and the volume of hypersurfaces, in the context of the Asymptotic Safety scenario for quantum gravity. We discuss the role of these operators from the Asymptotic Safety perspective, and compute their anomalous dimensions within the Einstein-Hilbert truncation. We also discuss certain subtleties arising in the definition of such geometric operators. Our results hint to an effective dimensional reduction of the considered geometric operators.
The Holographic Interpretation of Hawking Radiation

Holography gives us a tool to view the Hawking effect from a new, classical perspective. In the context of Randall-Sundrum braneworld models, we show that the basic features of four-dimensional evaporating solutions are nicely translated into classical five-dimensional language. This includes the dual bulk description of particles tunneling through the horizon.
Error analysis of nuclear mass fits

We discuss the least-square and linear-regression methods, which are relevant for a reliable determination of good nuclear-mass-model parameter sets and their errors. In this perspective, we define exact and inaccurate models and point out differences in using the standard error analyses for them. As an illustration, we use simple analytic models for nuclear binding energies and study the validity and errors of models' parameters, and uncertainties of its mass predictions. In particular, we show explicitly the influence of mass-number dependent weights on uncertainties of liquid-drop global parameters.

We briefly review the experiments of KEK and FINUDA, that claim evidence for deeply bound kaon states, from the perspective of recent theoretical papers and experiments that provide an alternative explanation of the peaks seen. At the same time we rebate recent criticisms raised against our theoretical results.
N-dimensional alternate coined quantum walks from a dispersion-relation perspective

We propose an alternative definition of an N-dimensional coined quantum walk by generalizing a recent proposal [Di Franco et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 106, 080502 (2011)]. This N-dimensional alternate quantum walk, AQW_N, in contrast with the standard definition of the N-dimensional quantum walk, QW_N, requires only a coin-qubit. We discuss the quantum diffusion properties of AQW_2 and AQW_3 by analyzing their dispersion relations that reveal, in particular, the existence of diabolical points.
