This requires the ability to group complex sounds into distinct auditory categories based on their shared features. Problems in phonetic learning have been suggested to underlie language learning difficulties in dyslexia, a developmental reading-skill deficit. Tutkielmassa käsiteltiin englannin kielen ääntämisen roolia ja ongelmallisten foneemien esiintymistä kymmenessä suomalaisessa englanti vieraana kielenä -oppikirjassa. Suomalaisilla englannin kielen oppijoilla on todettu olevan ongelmia erityisesti eräiden foneemien ääntämisessä, ja ongelmia on nostettu esiin myös mediassa. Bakalaura darbā apskatīta stilistisko izteiksmes līdzekļu izmantošana sešdesmit vienā Coca-Cola reklāmas sauklī, lai noskaidrotu izmantoto stilistisko izteiksmes līdzekļu veidu biežumu un funkcijas. Lai sasniegtu šī pētījuma vispārējo mērķi, tika izmantots teorētiskās literatūras apskats un diskursa analīze gan no kvantitatīvās, gan kvalitatīvās perspektīvas. Rezultāti parāda, ka izvēlētajos Coca-Cola saukļos visbiežāk izmantotie stilistiskais izteiksmes līdzekļi ir līdzskaņa, hiperbola un atdalīta konstrukcija. Learning a foreign language means being in contact with a new environment of sounds compared to that of the mother tongue. The foreign language teacher must help learners to access these sounds both from a perception and a production point of view. The verbo-tonal method of phonetic correction designed in the 1960s-1970s by Professor Petar Guberina (University of Zagreb) provides teachers with tools to correct learners’ pronunciation.
