The article contains a semantic and formal analysis of a selected group of phraseological compounds (collected 150 units) recorded in Silesian dialects and talking about the human age. The collected phraseologies creating a thematic field of generał importance AGE AND STAGES OF HUMAN LIFE are divided and characterized within five sub-fields: Childhood, Early youth, Maturity, The process of growing old / Senility and Death. The phraseology of the discussed field is characterized by big imagination, negative evaluation, strong expressive features, multi meaning and semantic biur.

Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia problem tłumaczenia fałszywych przyjaciół we frazeologii. Ponadto obrazuje on różnice w strategiach tłumaczeniowych grup respondentów i dokumentuje, że fałszywych przyjaciół w tekście można uniknąć, przy zachowaniu szczególnej czujności w trakcie tłumaczenia leksykalnie równoważnych frazeologizmów.

Given the importance of legal language in the study of historical phraseological, it is here analyzed the presence, use and evolution of adverbial phrases in some outstanding medieval fueros, and also how a good number of adverbial expressions have transcended and developed from legal language to other contexts, owed to —at least in some cases— a clear colloquial origin (a sabiendas, por bien...). Phrasemes reflect habits and customs, traditions, historical facts, social life phenomena and cultural values of a given society. Phrasemes often “live” longer than the image they reflect. Women were and still are a subject of phrasemes. The aim of this paper is an answer to the question if the image of women arising from the Polish and German phraseology in the face of the transformations taking place in the last 40 years in the society has changed and if new phrasemes describing women of the 21st century appeared.

Artikkelissani tarkastelen Suomi24-keskustelupalstan homouteen ja heterouteen liittyviä toistuvia diskursseja. Analyysi on toteutettu korpusavusteisena diskurssintutkimuksena (CADS), jossa suureen dataan perustuva tilastollinen avainsana-analyysi nostaa esiin suomalaisen yhteiskunnan sosiaalisesti jaetut diskurssit. Tulokset yhtäältä tukevat aiempia media-analyyseissä tehtyjä havaintoja voimakkaista affekteista ja vihapuheesta sekä homoseksuaalisuuden politisoitumisesta ja uskonnollistumisesta.
