This work is concerned with the theoretical and experimental study of the acoustical properties of macroscopically homogenous and inhomogeneous porous media as well as their mechanical response to impacts. The model of Johnson - Champoux - Allard appeared adapted for the acoustical modeling. This model, associated with a recently developed approach involving the concept of parallel transfer matrices has lead to a new approach of macroscopically inhomogeneous porous materials based on “mixtures of materials”. Abstract My research is an attempt at suggesting a cross-linguistically valid definition of verbs characterized by unagentivity and affectedness such as “burn”, “die”, “sink”, “fall”, “slide”, etc., which according to the present analysis constitute the semantic core of unaccusativity. Both synchronic and diachronic approaches are followed. Various definitions have been attributed to these verbs (eventives, anticausatives, transformatives, inchoatives, decausatives). Esta base de datos contiene la densidad de las microalgas encontradas en 30 lagunas costeras de la costa pacífica de Nicaragua y Costa Rica en tres periodos de su año hidrológico: comienzo de las lluvias (junio 2010), plena inundación (septiembre 2010) y sequía (enero 2011). La recolección fue subsuperficial. En esta matriz de datos las filas son las diferentes especies encontradas y las columnas la muestra (laguna y fecha). Información geográfica y limnológica de las lagunas se puede encontrar en Sasa et al. (2015: Limnetica vol 34).

In 1937, Pablo Picasso was chosen by the Republican Gov-ernment to be the artistic representative in the Spanish pavilion at the International Exhibition in Paris. The subject of the work was to be a denunciation of the Spanish Civil War. Picasso took his inspiration from the Guernica Tragedy, and the result was what is undoubtedly one of the most universally renowned paintings of the 20th century. As the artist never offered an interpretation of the painting, historians have since made an enormous variety of hypotheses. One of them suggests that the female figure carrying an oil lamp is the personification of the Republic.
