After a general overview of death in current medical-cultural context, this chapter examines the main moral aspects of postmortem imaging (PI). In the current debate the stressed ethical issues are fundamentally the following: (1) the noninvasive character of postmortem imaging that very likely makes the procedure less objectionable to relatives of the deceased; (2) the reliability of the methods that ought to be as effective as traditional autopsy, both when PI precedes and completes or substitutes traditional autopsy; and (3) the cost-benefit analysis, in individual and social terms. Cross-domain recommender systems use information from source domains to improve recommendations in a target domain, where the term domain refers to a set of items that share attributes and/or user ratings. Most works on this topic focus on accuracy but disregard other properties of recommender systems. In this paper, we attempt to improve serendipity and accuracy in the target domain with datasets from source domains. Due to the lack of publicly available datasets, we collect datasets from two domains related to music, involving user ratings and item attributes. In physical education (PE) and sports there is little theoretical and empirical knowledge about transgender people, and particularly, on how they are and can be imagined within this context. In this paper, we present and analyze a pedagogical activity based on the reading and discussion of a fictional representation of a transgender person within a group of undergraduate students of Sport Sciences. Our theoretical frame situates abjection and alterity as opposing concepts on a continuum. Disentangling Isoetes setacea and removing threats to Isoetes echinospora

The name Isoetes setacea has been applied to two different species, causing nomenclatural and taxonomic confusion. Some authors have rejected it on that account, yet it is currently used in a sense that is incompatible with its type. That type represents one of two similar species, I. echinospora and I. lacustris, which still today grow together at the type locality. An epitype is designated here, ensuring that I. setacea is sunk in synonymy under I. lacustris. A second name potentially threatening I. echinospora is I. tenella. The history of echocardiography is sprinkled with many interesting episodes and anecdotes showing that devoting your life to the pursuit of one goal is praiseworthy, and that at the same time, a little luck goes a long way. Transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) has led to dramatic improvements in cardiovascular medicine, and is now the most widely used diagnostic cardiac test after electrocardiography (ECG). The present review pays tribute to the pioneering efforts of those who believed in this innovative technology despite mounted skepticism and briefly describes the evolution of TTE from its early days to the most recent developments.
