HyperLabelMe : A Web Platform for Benchmarking Remote-Sensing Image Classifiers

HyperLabelMe is a web platform that allows the automatic benchmarking of remote-sensing image classifiers. To demonstrate this platform's attributes, we collected and harmonized a large data set of labeled multispectral and hyperspectral images with different numbers of classes, dimensionality, noise sources, and levels. The registered user can download training data pairs (spectra and land cover/use labels) and submit the predictions for unseen testing spectra. The system then evaluates the accuracy and robustness of the classifier, and it reports different scores as well as a ranked list of the best methods and users. Mangrove forests provide vital ecosystem services. The increasing threats to mangrove forest extent and fragmentation can be monitored from space. Accurate spatially explicit quantification of key vegetation characteristics of mangroves, such as leaf area index (LAI), would further advance our monitoring efforts to assess ecosystem health and functioning. Esto nos lleva a considerar su estatus literario y a preguntarnos en que medida deben ser estudiados dentro de la llamada literatura digital. A partir de la idea de campo literario formulada por Pierre Bourdieu, se propone un concepto analogo, el de campo digital, regido por normas compartidas con el anterior, pero, al mismo tiempo, por reglas nuevas y autonomas.
