espanolEl presente trabajo busca conocer que entienden las personas mayores valencianas por envejecer con exito. Se muestran los resultados de la validacion, para una muestra espanola de un modelo de envejecimiento con exito, en relacion al contexto de la Comunitat Valenciana. Se realizo una investigacion cuantitativa con 593 personas de 60 anos y mas mayores (X# = 67.36 anos; S = 5.839), alumnos todos de la Universitat dels Majors (UNIMAJORS) de la Universitat de Valencia. Globorotalia truncatulinoides in the Mediterranean Basin during the Middle–Late Holocene: Bio-Chronological and Oceanographic Indicator

The planktonic foraminiferal species Globorotalia truncatulinoides is widely used as a biostratigraphic proxy for the Quaternary in the Mediterranean region. High-resolution quantitative studies performed on sediment cores collected in the central and western Mediterranean Sea evidence a significant abundance of G. truncatulinoides during the Middle Holocene. The robust chronological frame allows us to date this bio-event to 4.8–4.4 ka Before Present (BP), very close to the base of the Meghalayan stage (4.2 ka BP). L'analyse stratigraphique et sedimentologique de la Formation de la Mambere, unite horizontale situee dans l'Ouest et le Sud-Ouest de la Republique Centrafricaine, a apporte des arguments en faveur de l'origine glaciaire des depots; une reconstitution paleogeographique a ete esquissee en vue de preciser l'âge de la formation. Deux grandes categories de depots glaciaires ont ete identifiees: L'origine meridionale du materiel detritique est demontree par l'analyse exoscopique des quartz et l'etude des mineraux lourds. H-He collision-induced satellite in the Lyman alpha profile of DBA white dwarf stars

The spectra of helium-dominated white dwarf stars with hydrogen in their atmosphere present a distinctive broad feature centered around 1160~\AA\/ in the blue wing of the Lyman-$\alpha$ line. It is extremely apparent in WD 1425+540 recently observed with HST COS. With new theoretical line profiles based on ab initio atomic interaction potentials we show that this feature is a signature of a collision-induced satellite due to an asymptotically forbidden transition. This quasi-molecular spectral satellite is crucial to understanding the asymmetrical shape of Lyman-$\alpha$ seen in this and other white dwarf spectra. Land abandonment throughout the twentieth century led to an intense landscape transformation in the mountain areas of the Iberian Peninsula. In some cases, and after 50 years of abandonment, agriculture returned with the development of commercial farms and the intensification of the agrarian activities. Solar radiation in Spain

In Spain there are only a few stations registering solar radiation, but by using correlations with other meteorological variables, an estimate of the solar radiation can be made in other areas throughout the country. The best results have been obtained using the correlation with hours of bright sunshine. Four linear expressions between the two variables have been obtained, corresponding to the four seasons of the year. Employing such expressions, monthly maps of solar radiation isolines have been plotted for the peninsular part of Spain. The mean deviation is not higher than 5 per cent.
