Abstract The purpose of this systematic review was to critically analyze the recent literature to present the state of the art in customized reconstruction of orbital fractures. Three electronic databases and manual search approaches were used to identify relevant articles. Only studies with a controlled clinical study design were included. Primary outcome was defined as the status of recovery (complete/partial functional and esthetic disturbances). The benefit of intra-surgical navigation should be described. Aims: An extensive colonization of surgical meshes with autologous fibroblasts may reduce complications. Therefore, we aimed to establish a technique that allows isolation and propagation of fibroblasts from vaginal biopsies. Using these cells we tested the applicability of several clinically applied meshes for fibroblast coating. Materials & methods: Fibroblasts were isolated from vaginal tissue after digestion with collagenase. Background. Labia minora hypertrophy is a congenital or acquired condition in which both labia minora (or more rarely only one) protrude beyond the edge of the labia majora. Reconstruction after resection of advanced stage hidradenitis suppurativa is currently performed with pedicled perforator flaps, that allow functional reconstruction and preservation of shoulder function. Skin availability is limited by the possibility of closing the donor site primarily. Bilateral cases need to be treated in two stages, since the operation is carried out in the lateral decubitus. In dieser Kasuistik wird der Fall einer tuberkulosen Destruktion des rechten Sakroliakalgelenks eines 56-jahrigen Patienten vorgestellt. Auffallig sind die verspatete Diagnose durch Verwechslung der Beschwerdesymptomatik mit einer Lumbalgie durch Bandscheibenprolaps und die Abszedierung entlang der Psoasmuskulatur und in die umgebende intra- und extrapelvine Muskulatur. Die Therapie ist eine chirurgische, die durch eine einjahrige medikamentose Kombinationstherapie erganzt wird.

Metopic synostosis, apart from the pointed forehead, typically is characterized by hypotelorism with egg-shaped orbits on cephalography and the frontoorbital axis parallel or even converging superiorly.
