Celem artykułu jest poznanie znaczenia inicjacji dla zapobiegania zachowaniom ryzykownych dzieci i młodzieży. Na potrzeby artykułu wykonano badania jakościowe prosząc studentów pedagogiki o opinie o własnych doświadczeniach w zakresie inicjacji wychowawczych. Ustalono, że inicjacje wychowawcze mają istotne znaczenie dla rozwoju psychospołecznego w okresie nastoletnim. Sposób ich doświadczania oraz ich charakter może być sytuacją, która sprzyja nabywaniu doświadczenia, wzmacniającego czynniki chroniące przed zachowaniami ryzykownymi.

Sprawne funkcjonowanie systemu profilaktyki zachowań ryzykownych w warunkach szkolnych zależne jest od wielu uwarunkowań. Jednym z wielu jest kultura szkoły, czyli wewnętrzna obyczajowość, nadająca ramy jej funkcjonowaniu. Kultura szkoły jako konstrukcja teoretyczna, opiera się na systemie wartości indywidualnych i zbiorowych wszystkich uczestników teatru szkolnego, wyznaczając kierunek działań wychowawczo-profilaktycznych. Dlatego jednym z najważniejszych zadań współczesnej profilaktyki pozytywnej jest kształtowanie kultury szkoły jako tego obszaru, który modyfikuje, konserwuje i promuje wartości prospołeczne uczniów.

Individual Differences Facing the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Role of Age, Gender, Personality, and Positive Psychology

Research on individual differences in facing the COVID-19 pandemic seems to be crucial in order to design diverse and highly effective intervention strategies. This study uses a sample of 302 North American participants who were recruited through the crowdsourcing platform ProA; different profiles were established, profiling variables of interest in facing the COVID-19 outbreak. Socio-demographic and psychological (personality traits, gratitude, life purpose, and religiosity) variables were explored. These results are of interest if we want to deepen the study of individual differences at both a theoretical and applied level.

This study deals with the design and implementation of a research on the concepts of «amount of substance» and «mol». This work is grounded on a constructivistic conception of the learning of Sciences, more particularly on the model known as teaching-learning as oriented research. An ultra-short measure of positive and negative affect: The Reduced Affective Well-Being Scale (RAWS).

In applied organizational research, where economy of scale is often a crucial factor in successful assessment, ultra-short measures are often needed. This study investigates the psychometric properties of the Reduced Affective Well-Being Scale (RAWS), an ultra-short measure of positive and negative affect in the workplace. This 6-item ultra-short version was compared with the original 12-item scale proposed by Segura and González-Romá (2003) in terms of internal consistency and criterion validity, using a sample of 1117 bank employees. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli tarkastella työntekijöiden kuvauksia ja havaintoja siitä, miten ohjatussa äiti–lapsi-vertaisryhmässä tuetaan vanhemmuutta ja selviytymiskykyisyyttä. Tutkimuksen viitekehyksenä sovellettiin resilienssitutkimuksen ja Seligmanin (2011) PERMA-hyvinvointiteorian käsitteitä. The recent judgment of the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights in Strand Lobben and others v. Norway raises, among others, two interesting reflections. First, it expressly requires a balance between the best interest of the child and other rights, such as the parents’ interest to the maintenance of family relationships. However, the conclusion reached by the Court – finding a violation of art. 8 of the Convention only in respect of its procedural aspect – does not match with the premises. The structure of the Chapter is as follows. In Section 2 I discuss some of the factors that may have played a role in causing the crisis and emphasise that supporters of different economic theories will assign different weights to each factor in their analyses. As a consequence, suggested economic policies are highly sensitive to the economic theory employed in evaluating the set of causes.
