Pētījuma mērķis - izpētīt, kādi ir vēlīnā brieduma indivīdu – sociālā aprūpes centra iemītnieku priekšstati par dzīvi (un nāvi) un šo indivīdu iekšējās saskaņas izjūtas rādītāji, kā arī, vai vecums, dzimums, ģimenes stāvoklis, iegūtā izglītība un sava veselības stāvokļa novērtējums ietekmē Iekšējās saskaņas izjūtas (ISI) aptaujas apakšskalas datus. Kvalitatīvajā pētījuma daļā piedalījās 3 respondenti, ar kuriem notika strukturētas intervijas, veicot naratīvu kontentanalīzi. Gender-specific caffeine-related adverse effects should be thoroughly investigated. Sixty-five adult participants were included in the study, 30 men and 35 women (age, 22.5 ± 2.8; body weight, 71.7 ± 16.2 kg; BMI, 23.6 ± 4.4). The participants who were classified as low and moderate caffeine users received 3 mg/kg, and high caffeine users received 6 mg/kg of caffeine in one dose. Excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) is a symptom of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) that resolves under treatment with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). In some patients, sleepiness persists despite CPAP treatment. We retrospectively analyzed data on subjective residual EDS, assessed as an Epworth Sleepiness Scale score (ESS) >10, in patients from the European Sleep Apnea Database (n = 4,853, mean age +/- SD 54.8 +/- 11.8 years, 26.1% females), at baseline and at the first visit (median follow-up: 5 months, interquartile range 3-13).
