Supramolecular assemblies and photophysical properties of ionic homo- and heteronuclear metallophilic complexes

Abstract The synthesis of two dinuclear ionic complexes with chemical formula [Au(PR 3 ) 2 ][Au(C ≡ CC 5 H 4 N-4) 2 ] that contain the water soluble phosphines, PR 3 , PTA (1, 3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane, 1 ) and DAPTA (3,7-diacetyl-1,3,7-triaza-5-phosphabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane, 2 ) is herein described. The differences on their intermolecular reorganization have been analyzed and compared with the previously reported for the neutral complexes [Au(PR 3 )(C ≡ CC 5 H 4 N-4)]. Copper-Catalyzed Aerobic Oxidative Alkynylation of 3,4-Dihydroquinoxalin-2-ones

Herein, we described a ligand-free copper-catalyzed aerobic oxidative functionalization of 3,4-dihydroquinoxalin-2(1H)-ones with terminal alkynes using visible-light and oxygen as terminal oxidant to give 3-ethynyl-3,4-dihydroquinoxalin-2(1H)-one, cyclic propargylic amines, in moderate to good yields. Moreover, we demonstrate the versatility of the 3-ethynyl-3,4-dihydroquinoxalin-2(1H)-ones obtained by preparing several 3,4-dihydroquinoxalin-2-one derivatives.

Exposure to mercury among 9-year-old Spanish children: Associated factors and trend throughout childhood

Mercury is considered a neurotoxicant and human exposure occurs mainly from the consumption of marine species. We aimed to describe total mercury concentrations (THg) and associated factors in 9-year old children, as well as to explore the trend in THg from 4 to 9 years of age. The study population consisted of 9-year-old children participating in the INMA (Environment and Childhood) birth cohort study in Valencia, Spain (n = 405, 2013–2014). Ceramic productions and human interactions during the Early Bronze Age in northern Iberia

The Early Bronze Age ceramic collection found into the caves of La Llana and El Toral III in Asturias (Spain) presents common decoration such as that found in the centre of Cantabrian Spain from the same period, which resembles others found in the Ebro Valley and Atlantic Europe. The Late Ordovician glacial sedimentary system of the North Gondwana platform.

International audience; The Late Ordovician (Hirnantian) glaciation is examined through the North Gondwana record. This domain extended from southern high palaeo-latitudes (southeastern Mauritania, Niger) to northern lower palaeo-latitudes (Morocco, Turkey) and covered a more than 4000 km-wide section perpendicular to ice-flow lines. A major mid-Hirnantian deglaciation event subdividing the Hirnantian glaciation in two first-order cycles is recognised. The Extraxial- Axial Theory shows that echinoderms also have an anterior/posterior (A/P) axis developed independently and ontogenetically before radiality. The A/P axis is first established via coelomic stacking in the extraxial region, with ensuing development of the pentamerous hydrocoel in the axial region. Late Miocene remains from Venta del Moro (Iberian Peninsula) provide further insights on the dispersal of crocodiles across the late Miocene Tethys

The dispersal of Crocodylus from Africa to Europe during the Miocene is not well understood. A small collection of cranial fragments and postcranial elements from the latest Miocene (6.2 Ma) site of Venta del Moro (Valencia, Spain) have previously been referred to Crocodylus cf. C. checchiai Maccagno, 1947 without accompanying descriptions. Here we describe and figure for the first time the crocodylian remains from Venta del Moro, which represent at least two individuals. Seismites resulting from high-frequency, high-magnitude earthquakes in Latvia caused by Late Glacial glacio-isostatic uplift

Abstract Geologically extremely rapid changes in altitude by glacial rebound of the Earth crust after retreat of the Scandinavian Ice Sheet at the end of the last Weichselian glaciation influenced the palaeogeography of northern Europe. The uplift of the Earth crust apparently was not gradual, but shock-wise, as the uplift was accompanied by frequent, high-magnitude earthquakes. This can be deduced from strongly deformed layers which are interpreted as seismites.
