Drug resistant focal epilepsy can be treated by resecting the epileptic focus requiring a precise focus localisation using stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) probes. As commercial SEEG probes offer only a limited spatial resolution, probes of higher channel count and design freedom enabling the incorporation of macro and microelectrodes would help increasing spatial resolution and thus open new perspectives for investigating mechanisms underlying focal epilepsy and its treatment. Although strength imbalances using isokinetic dynamometer have been examined for injury risk screening in soccer players, it is very expensive and time-consuming, making the evaluation of new methods appealing. Adaptive variable structure fuzzy neural identification and control for a class of MIMO nonlinear system

This paper presents a novel adaptive variable structure (AVS) method to design a fuzzy neural network (FNN). This AVS-FNN is based on radial basis function (RBF) neurons, which have center and width vectors. The network performs sequential learning through sliding data window reflecting system dynamic changes, and dynamic growing-and-pruning structure of FNN. The salient characteristics of the AVS-FNN are as follows: (1) Structure-learning and parameters estimation are performed automatically and simultaneously without partitioning input space and selecting initial parameters a priori. The purpose of this study was to compare the thickness of all inner and outer macular layers between ocular hypertension (OHT) and early primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) 8 × 8 posterior pole algorithm (8 × 8 PPA). Fifty-seven eyes of 57 OHT individuals and fifty-seven eyes of 57 early POAG patients were included. Resume Introduction La maladie des griffes du chat est une affection polymorphe, pouvant se manifester par des atteintes ophtalmologiques isolees. Nous rapportons les observations cliniques de sept cas, ayant presente une atteinte ophtalmologique posterieure de la maladie des griffes du chat. Observations Notre population comprenait sept patients, dont cinq femmes, d’âge median de 52 ans, avec une atteinte unilaterale dans trois cas. Entre todos los cánceres del tracto genital femenino, el cáncer de ovario es el segundo en orden de frecuencia y el de mayor mortalidad. En España se diagnostican unos 3.300 casos nuevos anuales, lo que representa el 5% de los canceres entre las mujeres. La incidencia en nuestro país es de aproximadamente 9 nuevos casos / 100.000 habitantes/año. La tasa de mortalidad es de 4 muertes /100.000 habitantes/año. En el momento del diagnóstico, el 75% de las pacientes están en un estadio avanzado de la enfermedad (III o IV). Las cifras de supervivencia disminuyen drásticamente entre los estadio I al IV.
