Analyzing online search patterns of music festival tourists

Music festivals, as cultural events that induce tourism flows, intermediate both the cultural and travel experience. The present study analyzes online search behavior of potential attenders to a music festival. We hypothesize that the search process reveals latent patterns of behavior of cultural tourists planning to attend music festivals. To this end, information from Google Trends on queries related to three popular music festivals is used to build a network of search topics. Students’ approaches to solving R-FCI tasks observed by eye-tracking method

This study sought to assess the representational format of task options in the representational variant of the force concept Inventory (R-FCI) test, namely its impact on students’ problem-solving approaches. This was done with the help of eye-tracking equipment. 35 high-school students solved four tasks, mainly from the R-FCI test, which sought to assess the student’s understanding of Newton’s 1st and 2nd Law of Motion. The stigma of feminism: disclosures and silences regarding female disadvantage in the video game industry in US and Finnish media stories

This article examines how the issue of gender, particularly women’s (under)representation in the video game industry, is framed in US and Finnish media. Building on the notion of stigma surrounding feminism, the article examines discourse practices as acts of managing the image of feminism. The findings illustrate five stigma management strategies that offer the possibility of maintaining socially accepted ways of discussing gender inequality and portraying women in mainstream media.
