Automorphisms of right-angled Artin groups

The purpose of this thesis is to study the automorphisms of right-angled Artin groups. Given a finite simplicial graph $\Gamma$, the right-angled Artin group $G_\Gamma$ associated to $\Gamma$ is the group defined by the presentation whose generators are the vertices of $\Gamma$, and whose relators are commutators of pairs of adjacent vertices. The first chapter is intended as a general introduction to the theory of right-angled Artin groups and their automorphisms. In a second chapter, we prove that every subnormal subgroup of $p$-power index in a right-angled Artin group is conjugacy $p$-separable. Knowledge Representation on the Web Revisited : The Case for Prototypes

Recently, RDF and OWL have become the most common knowledge representation languages in use on the Web, propelled by the recommendation of the W3C. In this paper we examine an alternative way to represent knowledge based on Prototypes. This Prototype-based representation has different properties, which we argue to be more suitable for data sharing and reuse on the Web. Prototypes avoid the distinction between classes and instances and provide a means for object-based data sharing and reuse. Enhancing Metastability by Dissipation and Driving in an Asymmetric Bistable Quantum System.

The stabilizing effect of quantum fluctuations on the escape process and the relaxation dynamics from a quantum metastable state are investigated. Specifically, the quantum dynamics of a multilevel bistable system coupled to a bosonic Ohmic thermal bath in strong dissipation regime is analyzed. The study is performed by a non-perturbative method based on the real-time path integral approach of the Feynman-Vernon influence functional. We consider a strongly asymmetric double well potential with and without a monochromatic external driving, and with an out-of-equilibrium initial condition. Highly occupied gauge theories in 2 + 1 dimensions : a self-similar attractor

Motivated by the boost-invariant Glasma state in the initial stages in heavy-ion collisions, we perform classical-statistical simulations of SU(2) gauge theory in 2+1 dimensional space-time both with and without a scalar field in the adjoint representation. We show that irrespective of the details of the initial condition, the far-from-equilibrium evolution of these highly occupied systems approaches a unique universal attractor at high momenta that is the same for the gauge and scalar sectors. We extract the scaling exponents and the form of the distribution function close to this non-thermal fixed point. International audience; The diamond cone is a combinatorial description for a basis of a natural indecomposable n-module, where n is the nilpotent factor of a complex semisimple Lie algebra g. After N. J. Wildberger who introduced this notion, this description was achieved for g = sl(n) , the rank 2 semisimple Lie algebras and g = sp (2n).In this work, we generalize these constructions to the Lie algebra g = so(2n + 1). Sebbene molto spesso le persone con disabilità debbano accontentarsi di vivere parzialmente alcune esperienze, da diversi anni è aumentata l’attenzione dei siti museali verso la realizzazione di progetti e percorsi dedicati che consentano una fruizione tattile di opere e manufatti ai disabili visivi. Il contributo presenta due casi studio, che utilizzano modelli 3D per installazioni tattili.
