In this article, our focus is on sustainable development in mathematics education from the point of view of teacher training. The aim was to develop prospective teachers’ content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge of school mathematics. International audience; The present work aims to investigate the mechanical behaviour and the damage kinetics of a3D interlock woven fabric composite, especially used for natural gas tanks dedicated to thetransportation industry. On the one hand, we aim at predicting the macroscopic coefficients ofthe stiffness matrix by homogenization multiscale approach. For this, we identified a basicunit cell which represents well the composite microstructure. On the other hand, damagemechanisms are analyzed: optical microscopy examinations on damaged specimens revealedseveral types of defects. We used the same multi-scale approach to assess the impact of thesedefects on the decrease of stiffness.

In persons with anorexia nervosa (AN), compulsive exercise and osteopenia are common symptoms. Although treatment of osteopenia besides weight regain is lacking, maximal strength training (MST) has been found to be effective in other populations. Such training has not been prescribed to those with AN due to uncertainty of tolerance. We therefore examined use of MST in a woman with long-standing AN, osteopenia, menstrual dysfunction, and compulsive exercise. Background Dietary approaches to control inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) may include proanthocyanidin-rich foods. Our previous research showed that a hydrophilic extract from Sicilian pistachio nut (HPE) contains sub- stantial amounts of proanthocyanidins and possesses anti- inflammatory activities. Purpose We studied the effects of HPE and of its poly- meric proanthocyanidin fraction (PPF) in a cell model that simulated some conditions of IBD, consisting of interleukin (IL)-1b-stimulated Caco-2 cells.
