„Ekumenizm cierpienia” na przykładzie historii procesji suplikacyjnej do Sanktuarium Matki Bożej „na Pólku” pod Bralinem w XIX i XX wieku

2018

Trudne historyczne wydarzenia związane z pojawieniem się reformacji na ziemi bralińsko-kępińskiej były przyczyną wielu cierpień i uprzedzeń. Kościoły katolicki i ewangelicki zwalczały się nawzajem, zamykały świątynie, wypędzały duchownych. Taki stan rzeczy istniał do doświadczenia klęski żywiołowej związanej z dwukrotnym całkowitym pożarem miasteczka Bralin w latach 1807 i 1808. To doświadczenie wspólnego cierpienia doprowadziło do zorganizowania przez ocalałych z pożarów wiernych Kościoła Rzymskokatolickiego i Ewangelicko-Augsburskiego procesji suplikacyjnej. Wspólna procesja suplikacyjna doprowadziła do pogodzenia się wiernych obu Kościołów i wspólnej odbudowy miasteczka. To doświadczenie…

Competing Against Simulated Equilibrium Price Dispersions: An Experiment on Internet-Assisted Search Markets

2005

In a four-treatment experiment, we test some of the hypotheses in García-Gallego et al. (2004) concerning competition among a number of firms of which some (or all) are indexed by a price-comparison engine facilitating buyers’ search process. In this paper, we isolate individual behavior from noise due to other players’ actions and learning, facing each subject with simulated rivals whose prices are extracted from mixed strategy equilibrium distributions. We find systematic deviations from both theoretical distributions and previous data obtained in sessions where all players were human. Specifically, departures of experimental data from the corresponding theoretical predictions are enhance…

How viable are spanish credit cooperatives after recent bank capitalization and restructuring regulations?

2011

Over the past three years, major reforms have been approved in Spain in order to restructure the banking sector. The purpose of these reforms has been to reinforce the solvency of credit institutions through recapitalization and integration into larger organizations. The credit cooperatives have not presented any solvency problems which would justify these measures being applied to them. The problem that the financial authorities see in their case is their limited size. As a result, the credit cooperatives are immersed in an integration process which is not revolving around the Banco Cooperativo Español (BCE) or the Spanish Association of Rural Savings Banks, as might be expected, but is ta…

Privatisation, gouvernement d'entreprise et processus décisionnel:une interprétation de la dynamique organisationnelle à travers le cas France Télécom

2001

This article tries to explain the influence of privatization on the decision making process, especially in terms of investments through the corporate governance theory. In this perspective we suggest a conceptual framework based on the analysis of disciplinary mechanisms and their dynamic as a foundation of an explanatory research applied to the France Télécom case.

Motivators That Intervene in the Decision Making Process in Tourism

2014

Being part of the tourism industries involves many researches and analyses in different periods of time, regarding different segments of consumers. Therefore, it is important to be aware of all the factors and motivators that influence a tourist to purchase a particular tourism services. These complex variables are crucial for the final purchase decision of an offer with emotional value for customers. This paper presents the principals motivators which intervene in the decision making process that should be acknowledged by marketers in order to provide the ideal tourism package.

Market Segmentation in the Decision Making Process in Tourism

2014

In this paper, I examine the responses of 154 tourists in relation to their predisposition to purchase and the patterns and habits that are usually decisive in the decision making process regarding tourism services or products. For this research, I conducted a selective direct research, whose purpose was to obtain a segmentation of consumers who purchase tourism services based on specific dimensions of behavior. This research also implied studying the behavior of current and potential customers who purchase travel services depending on several variables for establishing different consumption habits. Thus, to establish a more detailed image of the tourists who participated in this direct and…

CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES OF THE 2008-2009 INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CRISIS

2012

The paper investigates the current crisis and its major consequences in a shifting world. Originated from the USA, the crisis spread in the world and disturbed its power distribution. The emerging countries development of the last two decades illustrates the catching-up process. The findings also confirm the increased role of the Chinese economy today. The Chinese growth in comparison with the USA economic path is a mirror for the future world architecture. The consequences of the international financial crisis are focused on the fact that the developed countries will lose gradually their privileges in the shifting of economic power.

DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT USING CLUSTERING ALGORITHMS

2015

Document management systems are complex systems, which offer services as storage, versioning, metadata, security, as well as indexing and retrieval capabilities. Large numbers of documents could be automatically grouped into classes of documents, which contain similar information. Therefor we propose to use clustering methods in order to group the documents. Clustering is an important process in text mining used for groping documents based on their contents in order to extract knowledge. In this paper we will present some requirements for clustering algorithms for a document management system

Collimation of energy in medium-modified QCD jets

2012

The collimation of energy inside medium-modified jets is investigated in the leading logarithmic approximation of QCD. The Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equations are slightly modified by introducing splitting functions enhanced in the infrared sector. As compared to elementary collisions in the vacuum, the angular distribution of the jet energy is found to broaden in QCD media.

Antenarratives in Ongoing Strategic Change : Using the Story Index to Capture Daunting and Optimistic Futures

2018

Strategic organizational change is a complex, future-oriented phenomenon that is critical for any organization. Traditional means of inquiry have struggled with the difficulty of capturing the future; thus, the methods for managing things to come remain scarce. In this chapter, we contribute to managing strategic change, and thereby the future of the organization, by developing the Story Index (SIX) method. The method facilitates a better understanding of how organizational change takes shape in the discursive reality before materializing in concrete terms. SIX is an analytical process combining antenarratives and narrative rationality to reveal the emerging meanings and rationales of chang…
