Complaining at the Store or Through Social Media: The Influence of the Purchase Channel, Satisfaction, and Commitment

In the current omnichannel retail environment, customers have multiple channels to interact with firms to search for information, purchase, and after-sales. Within those channel social media can play a significant role, particularly as complaint channels. The aim of this paper is to analyze whether the choice to complain face-to-face or through social media depends on the purchase channel chosen and the satisfaction and commitment with the retailer. A novel fuzzy-based approach which combines ELECTRE III along with the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) is proposed in the present work to comparatively evaluate the service quality in the public healthcare context. Specifically, ELECTRE III is firstly considered to compare the service performance of examined hospitals in a noncompensatory manner. Afterwards, IPA is employed to support the service quality management to point out improvement needs and their priorities. This article explores Latin American Chief Executive Officers' (CEOs') perceptions about the influence of career self-management practices and chance events on their career pathways. Through an edited topical life story approach, we investigate the relationship between those variables throughout CEO's career trajectories in the Latin American context. Semi-structured in-depth interviews with 22 CEOs working for multinational companies were conducted. Interviews were transcribed and analyzed with the aid of QSR NVivo 7 software.
