Evaluation of the Effects of a Bullying at Work Intervention for Middle Managers.

The aim of the study is to evaluate the effects of a workplace bullying intervention based on the training of middle managers regarding bullying awareness, the consequences of bullying, strategies in conflict resolution and mediation/negotiation abilities. Overall, 142 randomly selected middle managers participated in the study. First, participants completed an information record and two scales assessing bullying strategies, role conflict and role ambiguity. This article reports consequences for student writing quality based on a long-term professional learning project. Project teachers, representing all school subjects in grades 3–7, were presented with a writing construct, ‘Wheel of Writing’, and norms of expectation for writing proficiency. Participating teachers used the writing construct and norms as a basis for writing instruction and writing assessment. Pris un à un, ces récits de vie ne livrent qu'une succession d'épisodes anecdotiques. Mais lorsque les situations se répètent d'un récit à l'autre, on passe du singulier d'une carrière individuelle au général : le destin collectif d'un groupe professionnel qui s'est construit à l'échelle de l'établissement scolaire, dans les interactions entre les enseignants d'EPS et leurs partenaires éducatifs, chefs d'établissement, professeurs des autres matières et inspecteurs.

Réalisée en Bourgogne depuis vingt-cinq ans, l'enquête Insertion dans la vie active constitue un outil particulier et unique qui donne la possibilité de suivre l'évolution des conditions d'entrée des jeunes sur le marché du travail. Cette note présente les résultats de la dernière interrogation menée en février 2009, et donne un aperçu de la transition de l'école à l'emploi. En Bourgogne, 7 400 élèves et 4 800 apprentis âgés de 20 ans en moyenne, ont été interrogés sur leur situation professionnelle. Pour connaître le devenir des anciens élèves et apprentis, le ministère de l'Éducation nationale réalise des enquêtes depuis de nombreuses années, avec l'appui des établissements scolaires et des centres de formation d'apprentis. Cette note présente les résultats des dernières enquêtes effectuées en 2005, qui appréhendent les situations des jeunes sept mois après la fin de leurs études en Bourgogne.
