The subject of the reflections set out in this article are the issues relating to the subjectivity of a teacher and his competence in the face of civilizing changes. As the title suggests, the study deals with the diversified division of competences both of contemporary man and the teacher. Professional training of educators should include both a grounding in theory and assertions on the subject of man’s development, processes of “finding one’s place” naturally in the world, process educating man with a defined goal (education and upbringing) and processes of his socialization (collectivisation - full time employment - nationalization - politicization - globalization).

ANOTĀCIJA Promocijas darbā „Vides izpratību un automehāniķa profesionālo kompetenci attīstošu mācību materiālu izstrāde ķīmijā” izstrādāta didaktiskā pieeja ķīmijas mācībām profesionālā vidusskolā, kas attīsta audzēkņu vides izpratību un profesionālo kompetenci. Lai noskaidrotu skolēnu un studentu vides ķīmisko procesu izpratību, izmantotas anketas un zināšanu testi. Veikta aptauju un testu rezultātu statistiskā analīze. Izstrādāta Valsts vispārējās vidējās izglītības standartam atbilstoša ķīmijas programma profesionālām vidusskolām. Saskaņā ar programmu izveidots mācību līdzeklis „Ķīmija automehāniķiem”.
