Univariate and multivariate properties of wind velocity time series

We analyze the time series of hourly average wind speeds measured at 29 different stations located in Sicily, a region with a complex morphology. The investigation, performed from the univariate as well as the multivariate point of view, evidences that the statistical properties of wind at the single sites have features that are not reproduced by standard models and, thus, require specific modeling. Moreover, the synchronous evolution of wind velocity presents a cluster structure, obtained with different algorithms, that persists in the standard deviation too.

Este trabajo persigue identificar las opiniones y experiencias ante la dirección escolar de las directoras de centros públicos de Educación Infantil y Primaria en Andalucía. Se realizó un estudio tipo encuesta con una muestra de 206 directoras seleccionada mediante un muestreo polietápico, utilizando el cuestionario para la recogida de información. Los resultados muestran que las directoras tienen mediana edad, una dilatada experiencia profesional y, en su mayoría, están relativamente libres de cargas familiares. Antecedents and consequences of perceived investment value

To gain a more comprehensive view to non-institutional investment behavior, this study develops and tests a set of hypotheses linking self-congruence, risk profile and investment experience with perceived investment value (PIV). In addition, the study tests direct and indirect effects of PIV on positive word-of-mouth. The hypotheses are tested on data from 440 private investors. The findings reveal that 1) self-congruence and risk profile are positively associated with five out of six of the PIV dimensions, 2) the relationship between PIV and word-of-mouth are more complex than is generally thought, and 3) user experience moderates four out of the twelve hypothesized paths. Psychological contract profiles among permanent and temporary agency workers

Purpose– Based on the psychological contract (PC) theory, the purpose of this paper is to identify PC profiles, differentiating between permanent and temporary agency workers (TAW).
